Getting to know the place..... (open)

It was a beautiful afternoon in Sereitei, the sun was shining, the white clouds drifted by casually as the cool breeze pushed them along. Hiyro walked happily down the streets, a confident bob in his walk. For once he had finished his work for the day early, and had decided to finally come and take a look around Sereitei. The only time he had ever come through here was at night time while he was on missions, and during the morning time when there were little to no souls wandering about.

The Captain Commander was surprised to see how many people there really were. The narrow streets were packed with shinigami about their daily business, everyone seeming to be moving with purpose. Hiyro was glad to see that most of the initial commotion of the disappearances had settled, and at least some things had returned to normal. Now that he had many individuals looking into the reason for the strange occurrence, there was finally time to relax, and get to know his surroundings, and those he would be commanding.

As the small male trudged along, he noticed that he attracted many stares from the passing shinigami. He tried to ignore them, his long fingers playing with the seam of his captain's haori. The light white fabric was probably the cause of the stares, but he couldn't leave his office without it. It didn't bother his though, it's natural for them to want to get a glance at their new Captain Commander. The amount of work he had to do had kept him shut in his office for the majority of his time here, so not many had got the chance to interact with him.

As he explored, Hiyro went into the different shops, taking a quick look around at what they had to offer. It was actually impressive, the selection of goods and foods, there was even a spa! Quite delightful indeed. He made a note to book an appointment once things stetted down a little. A small rumble from his stomach reminded him that it was time to eat.

Rubbing his belly, his lilac eyes scanned his surroundings, immediately locating two small restaurants, one with a delicious smelling grill, the other seeming to specialize in ramen soup bowls. Licking his lips, he was about to settle on his choice, when someone collided with him from the back. Hiyro stumbled forward a few steps, regaining his balance almost instantly, turning to look at who had collided with him.

Mina's feet carried her along the familiar path of stores. Medical supplies, personal things, medical supplies, things for Hanako and Yuki. Rinse and repeat. At the end of every week she went on this trip, though last weekend she had missed it because she had been spending it with Kenji. Every final day of the week, she'd come out here to the stores to get the supplies she needed for the week.

This week though she was trying to restock her stores by three times. To make up for her emergency supplies that she had had to use, as well as stocking up for the next week. Sighing softly, she realizes that she had been out longer then she normally was because she was hungry. Heading for one of her stores with her mind set on getting food, she walked straight into someone's back. Stumbling off to the right while he went left, she looked up at him, and felt her face go slightly pale.

How had she managed that!??! Normally her reflexes were amazing. If you looked at her, she still had all her packages in her arms, and she was still on her feet. But she had walked straight into his back this time!!! And to make it worse the man that she had ran into was the new Captain Commander. "Ah, I'm sorry Captain Commander!!" She said, dipping into a bow.

Hiyro turned around to see someone with whom he was actually familiar with. Even though the Captain Commander had never met Mina, Captain of the fourth squad, it wasn't too hard to spot a captain, and Hiyro had studied all the files of his captains, which were accompanied by pictures. He smiled and returned her bow, glad to see he hadn't knocked her over. Although that task may be a bit hard as she was much taller then he, even in his raised wooden sandals. "No, it's alright. I shouldn't have been just standing here." he admitted with a small chuckle. He was such an airhead sometimes, just going off into his own world without notice.

Just as he stood from the bow, his stomach gave an incredibly loud rumble. He was sure Mina was able to hear it, even over the loud noises of the hustle and bustle around them. Letting out a small laugh, he looked up at her. "I was just trying to decide where to eat, would you join me?" He asked her. Without waiting for a response, he grabbed one of her bags, "Let me help you with those." he said, freeing up one of her hands. It was clear that he wouldn't easily accept no for an answer, and started towards the small ramen shop.

Assuming that she would have followed him, and her parcels, he sat down at a table, putting the bags down beside it. Hiyro had always hated doing things alone, and the fact that Mina kind of had to listen to him made it even better. He didn't want to be a jerk and abuse his powers, but eating alone was so boring!

Solomon yawned as he turned around the corner and spotted the Captian Commander. He approached him quickly with only teh slightest of smirks on hsi face. The 11th Division captain whistled and made a small wave. Then waved also at Mina, Not a overly happy wave, but a business one.

He was not a overly social guy with people he was not close to, but might as well get to know your boss and co-workers. This was a good opprotunity to do that, he had no pressing duties, so it was perfect. When he had reached the CC he nodded at him, " Hello. "

Mina's face split into a smile and she gave a small embarrassed laugh as her stomach gave a matching growl to his. When some of the weight of her bags was taken from her, she started to protest, but didn't get very far when he started to walk away with them. "Captain Commander....." She said softly, before hurrying after the smaller man. Sitting at the table with him, she gives a small sigh as the weight was taken off her feet. "I would have joined you anyway Captain Commander." She said, and before she could continue, they were joined by the 11th Division Captain, a one Solomon Black.

Who was also, until just recently, her nameless friend. Her eyes flickered to him for a moment, before going wide, and being glued to the man's face. Mina's heart felt like it was going to stop. She hadn't seen the man in a very long time, but that was nothing new at all. "Solomon? You are the man that was my nameless friend from when I was only a soul in the Rukongai?" She asked softly, looking at the man like he had grown three heads suddenly. For the moment the Captain Commander was forgotten in the onslaught of shock that had conquered her by seeing Solomon.

Hiyro let out a small laugh as she told him that she would have joined him anyways. ”Well I’m glad i was able to help you carry your things! Just at that moment, the 11th squad captain, Solomon Black approached their table, greeting the two of them. He was about to greet her, but Mina had beat him to it. Well, apparently these two knew each other. Before Solomon could answer, Hiyro butt in. ”Well why don’t you join us, Solomon, and we can eat while you two catch up!” He didn’t want to be rude, but his stomach was beginning to growl painfully from hunger.

Solomon nodded as he took a seat, " Mina Akiyama. How long ago was that, I believe I was a shinigami then, unless it was longer than 1400 years ago. " He had no emotion to his voice, making him sound robotic. He was not even nostalgic, just indifferent. One thing he needed to find out was the reason he became a captian. He had avoided the position since he had obtained bankai over a millenia ago, refusing every offer. Until he had been forced into it since not another shinigami was able too. He did not like the ruling position, being in charge. He was made for front lines, being out in the field not doing paperwork.
