Fun time Spar on a day off || Kenji

Mina had practically bounced out of Kenji's bed, and grabbed her things to get dressed. It took a little searching to find her delicates, but she found them and got dressed. The only thing she didn't have to spar with was her Zanpaktou, because she had left that in her Division Office. She told Kenji to meet her at the training grounds so that she could flashstep to her office and get her Zanpaktou.

A quick check of her files on her desk as she grabbed her Zanpaktou showed that no one had been admitted through the night, and that everything was good to go. A smile crossed as she left her office, almost like she had never been there but for a note for her Vice Captain posted on the door informing him where she would be for the day.

Arriving at the Training grounds Mina looks around, rather glad that the training ground was rather empty. She had a rather strange feeling that this training session was going to involve a hell of a lot of Reiatsu. Spotting Kenji, her face goes slightly red, as her mind remembered exactly what had transpired in his office the night before. Oh this was going to be a fun time in the training grounds today. "Thanks a lot Kenji. I've wanted to spar for a while, but haven't found the time...."

The day was a rather beautiful day to say the least. The sun was just above to be over-head, casting an orange glow upon the sky. There was a cool breeze that sent a chill through anyone who didn’t bother to wear a long sleeve shirt. At the east part of the arena there were a giant oak tree, it’s limbs diligently providing shade for various spots. Kenji was leaning against a cement wall, when he had spotted Mina. A smile came across his face seeing his lover had finally made it there. Kenji had dress very casual to say the least, only decided to wear black T-shirt, pants and boots. There was a reason for this, more so because of the cool weather he needed to draw as much heat as possible. Almost as if he was a plant himself.

He chuckled slightly noticing her blush at the sight of him. Those thoughts about last night were not on his mind at the moment. He was focused on the spar that was about to come and to test how good Mina was at combat. If she was as good as she was in bed, then this should be fun. “Baby if you want to get anything out of the spar. You must hate me. You must fear me. You must...” He paused for a moment, hitting his wrist against the cement wall, shattering the bracelet on his wrist. The beads glowed as the formed his zanpakutou “Kill me” He said with a smirk. Kenji knew exactly what he was during, to those who weren’t familiar with his training style.

He told everyone he sparred against that the only way one will gain anything from a spar was to try and kill the other person. This was how his division trained daily and this is why he was loved by his division. For he didn’t take no crap when he came to training and always pushed the lower seats to their breaking point and beyond. His spiritual pressure spiked as he sonido to the right of Mina, his left index finger pointing at her right shoulder “Byakurai” Was all he said as he fired, a powerful lightning bolt at her.

Kenji wondered how Mina was going to deal with the kido and the effect of his intoxicating reaistu. The longer she is expose to it the drunker she will get.

Mina's face went blank, though it held colour still, as she heard what he had to say. She really didn't want to kill him, but she certainly was going to let him think that she would. His spiritual pressure spiking caused her to reflex spike hers to keep them level. Her eyes tracked his movement to in front of her and all the combat skills Yuki Rya had taught her kicked in, and she moved his hand away from her shoulder as he fired the Hado at her. Bringing her other hand up flat against his chest, she speaks quickly, "Shakkaho!" firing off the red ball. Her head was starting to get a little fuzzy, almost as through she was drunk, but she knew for a fact that she was completely and utterly sober.

Once the Red energy left her hand, she used flashstep to get way from him, feeling her head clear just a little bit. This would be interesting.

There wasn’t time to think and he must acted without thinking oh this was going to be fun. When she placed her hand upon his chest, his body would vanish from the giving area as the fireball would hit the wall right behind where he were standing. His reaistu had completely disappeared but reappeared to the right of her. The technique he used was “Blink” it was nothing more then a teleport ability that relied on his photo-graphic memory to know the exact location of where he wanted to go. Rarely did he use the ability in battle for he preferred to use flash step.

Placing both of his hands together he quickly said the following words “Tenran.” A wide tornado blast was now speeding towards Mina. If she decided to get close he had another kido waiting just for her.

Mina looked to her right just in time to see Kenji use the Hado Tenran, and countered with one of her one. "Danku!!" She said, summoning a wall of energy that blocked the wind coming at her. Drawing her Zanpaktou, she faces Kenji fully, letting her shield drop. "If we're going to fight with just Kido, you're going to be hard pressed to hit me Kenji. It's what I'm good at." She spoke with a small smile on her face. Her sword skills weren't that bad, as a matter of fact she was rather good. She didn't wait for him to attack her, instead she used Shunpo and appeared near him, slashing forward with her sword. Simple, and easy to block....if he cared to.

Though it was surprising to Kenji that Mina was able to even think straight for she had been expose to his reaistu long enough that, she would have a head ache. Though he could have been wrong since it did take her awhile to get drunk off of that whiskey. He just shrugged slightly at the comment about not being able to hit her with kido, for Kenji think he could have if he wanted too. For it was kind of a secret that the 13th division captain was well diverse with kido and it’s his preferred method of combat.

Seeing her shunpo he prepared himself for the next attack, which he thought would be with her zanpakuto. Which he was right, when she appeared in front of him and slashed downward. Using his scabbard he parry her attack to the right, but that wasn’t all. At the exact moment of him parrying her attack he would speak quickly”Tsuzuri Raiden.” was the words that escaped his lips. Lightning would have been coursing through the scabbard when the parry was made and Mina would receiving a very painful shock from it. Parrying her sword to the right it should leave her wild open for an attack, which would exactly come next “Sai” was the words he spoke next, locking Mina’s arms stiffly behind their back Afterwards the words “Haiden” were spoken as a blast of purple spiritual energy flies towards Mina.

Mina's mind started to swim the closer she got to Kenji, and it was causing her to have a headache, trying to concentrate on where he was supposed to be. The lightning shock from his parry attack caused her head to clear enough to make her realize that that bloody well had hurt, and that she was too close for comfort. Which proved true when her hands wound up pined behind her. Her heard the word "Haien." and used Shunpo to get out of it's way.

Her voice worked quickly and she spoke loudly enough for him to hear, "Sit on your Judgement Isha!" Which caused her Zanpaktou to glow a soft red, the same colour as her Reiatsu, and then appear to shatter into tiny pieces. These tiny pieces were actually small needles, that on her command, destroyed the Kido holding her arms to her sides. Looking at Kenji, she gives a small smirk. "Poison Needle." She said, as her needles started to glow from soft red to a very deep and dark red.

For good measure, she tossed a binding Kido at Kenji. "Sajo Sabaku!!" She said as her needles continued to start to glow the dangerous red. Only 50% would be affected with this state, her Bankai went to 75%.

Kenji watched as the captain of the fourth division manage to escaped the kido spell that was fired at her. Not only that it would seem that she was going into shikai as her zanpakuto shattered into tiny pieces. An eyebrow arched as he wondered what exactly were the “tiny pieces” but whatever it was, it manage to shatter the binding spell that was around Mina’s arms. However, his questioned about what exactly were the “tiny pieces’ were answered by the captain herself. So they were needles....even worse poisonous needles, how lovely...were the thoughts that came into his mind.

Mentally Kenji had took a note of the color of the needles as he tried to formula what it meant. Like the colors of his plants and animals there was a deeper meaning behind everything. One would been wise to stay away from animals who had bright colors for they were poisonous, but with plants that was a different story. However, the needles were one thing he haven’t figured out. Kenji didn’t even bother to move when the chains of light wrapped around his body, though never did he loosen the grip upon his zanpakuto “Retake your throne, Koutaigou Jinkourin.” were the words his spoke.

The zanpakuto in his hand didn’t seem to change despite him saying the command for his shikai. However there was on thing that did happen, a cloud of dust surrounded him but as quickly as it surrounded him, it subsided onto the ground. The kido spell that was binding him began to fluctuate as if the energy that was used to create it was being drained by something, but by what though? The truth was the dust that had settle around Kenji some in which landed on the chains that bind him were in fact tiny seeds. Each seed fed upon the spiritual energy within the given area.

Though the drain were small it was enough that Kenji could break out of the chains if he wanted to, but he didn’t...not yet anyway. His eyes fixed on Mina as he was concentrating his energy into his right arm, as he was manipulating a seed that had embedded itself into his arm and now he was feeding it his own spiritual energy. “Are you going to attack me or what?”

If Kenji ever watched Byakuya fight, he would know just where she had gotten her fight style from. But she could feel the hold on that Kido that surrounded Kenji starting to slip, and was at a lose to why. Her Reiatsu was fine, she wasn't near him at all, but her hold on the kido was weakening...it was peculiar, and she wanted to know why. She figured she'd find out soon enough.

"Yes, eventually." She said her hands coming up and inspecting her needles. It was time to attack, now or never. Her right hand fell and the needles to her right went flying at Kenji, before her left hand followed the right hand and only a few needles stayed to hover around her. The needles flew straight at Kenji, and if he moved, they would follow him for a bit till she called them back.

The longer the kido was around Kenji, the weaker it goes for the seeds that had imbedded themselves on the kido has siphoning it’s energy to fulfill it’s own needs. Kenji’s grip of his zanpakuto never loosen as he just listens to the words she spoke. His once lowered head looked up at Mina as he saw the needles flying towards him. At that exact moment, a plant like creature would appear on Kenji’s shoulder as twenty of them had appear as if emerging from the kido itself. Each plant like creature, had six legs that resemble roots along with eyes and mouth full with razor sharp teeth.

“These are the runts of the litter.” Was all Kenji said, as he watched the monster creatures formed around him, creating an armor of sorts, that would protect the captain at least somewhat. Meanwhile, Kenji’s muscle bulge as he breaks the kido that had him bind. He was able to do this for the plants had weaken it enough to allow such action. At that moment, the captain shunpoed and appeared to the right of where he was standing. The monsters that he had summon was no more they died protecting him...

Seeing that the needles followed him wherever he went, Kenji decided to use a kido “Sho” was the words he spoke, as he blew the needles that where heading for him back at their owner. Kenji doubt this would work but it was a start for something greater. The seeds that were embedded into him was slowing mature but needed more time. Looking at Mina the ground underneath her began to crack as if something as a small spider web fissure appeared. “Round two, my love. And lets have some fun. The winner gets to do whatever they want to the loser for the rest of the day and the loser can not deny the request.” Was all he said, motioning her to attack again.

Mina could feel her hold on the kido surrounding Kenji weakening more. Finally it shattered and she saw the plants that sprouted up from it, and knew exactly why her kido hadn't been so strong at the end. The needles she had sent in attack crashed into the plants, and she watched her needles follow Kenji more, only a few of them being pushed back as he used the kido.

A glance down at her feet showed that the ground was cracking, so she used shunpo to get away from it. She didn't know what it was, but she definitely didn't want to be there when it was revealed. Looking back up at Kenji from her place in the air, she nods. "Done. I'll take that bet Kenji, good luck winning." She said as she manipulated her needles to attack Kenji again. The poison on the tips of the needles were wearing thin now, and she'd have to reapply them again later. For now, she just wanted to attack Kenji.

Lovely so the needles are like heat sinking missiles, another thing that will be on my ass all the time. “Sekienton” Was the words the captain of the 13th division spoke as a last blast of smoke fill up the arena. Normally the smoke would be used for a distraction but Kenji had other plans for it. Using his blink ability to hide his reaistu since he figured that it was his reaistu that was guiding the needles to him. He had already threw out the theory of Mina’s being able to see him caused the needles to follow him. It wouldn’t have been that simple would it?

Kenji didn’t want to think about this as he blink from location to location only standing still for what it seems like a split second. He knew exactly where Mina’s was due to her spiritual pressure and the 4th will know where the captain was but only for a split second. Knowing the smoke wouldn’t last long, “Sajo Sabaku” was the words he spoke, as Mina would be wrapped with powerful energy ropes. “Hyapporankan!” Was the next kido he used, as a rod formed of energy appeared in his left hand as he throws it in the direction of the now bound captain. The rod disintegrated right before it hit the captain as numerous rods attempted to pin Mina to the wall behind her. However due to the smoke the throw was a long shot, he wasn’t expecting all the rods to hit, through he was expecting for some of them to hit her. Though he doubt it.

As the smoke clears Mina wouldn’t see Kenji in front of her. No, Kenji was now to the right of her looking up at the limb of a tree that stretched over a part of the arena. Pointing his sword at the tree, the ground underneath them began to shake as well as the tree. Facial features began to appear on the tree and it’s branches began to flex as if one was flexing their muscles, the tree was coming alive slowly but steadily the giant tree was coming alive. Mina probably wouldn’t notice this for a spider web fissure had appeared on Kenji’s arm, blood was slowly oozing out of the wound.

Kenji winced at the slight pain but he didn’t let it bother him that much. This was the first time he had fully used the seed this way and it would be interesting to see the results of it. “Funny isn’t it? The same thing that provides us with shade and gives us life, could be the same thing that destroy you?” The words he spoke were cold, as the beastly roar was heard as the facial features of the tree had finished. As it roared, it’s razor sharp teeth was shown. The sound of something popping was heard as the tree breaks the roots that anchored it to the ground. The beast is about to make it’s appearance, but it is like an ant compared to what’s inside of Kenji.

When Kenji's Reiatsu disappeared, she called all her needles back as the poison wore off of them completely, and she let them surround her a bit. Not enough to obstruct her vision, but enough that when she felt his prescense, she sent needles in that direction, always just a moment too late to do it. Her needles where no where close to her when he launched the binding Kido at her, as well as the Kido that locked her against the wall. Had there been no smoke, she would have been able to avoid it, but this time luck wasn't on her side.

Her eyes peered through the smoke, and her head felt dizzy. This meant she was close to Kenji again, and that, as much as she loved him, was not where she wanted to be right now. Her arms strained against the bonds holding her, and she knew she wouldn't be able to break out of them like Kenji had. Her eyes were now glued to the tree that was starting to come to life. Fear wasn't anything new to her, but it had been a while since she had felt it. But being unable to do anything because her fine control of her needles had been taken from her at the moment, with the rods that pinned her hands to the wall.

"You think something simple like this will really defeat me Kenji? Your Kido doesn't stand a chance, and that tree can only kill me if it catches me." She said as two of her needles flew straight to her hands and severed the Kido binding her arms to her side. The rods, only three of which were holding here there, were her next challenge, and she didn't have much time left to do anything.

More roots began to snap loose as the monstrous tree was now, was still trying to break free from the things that bound it. Another monstrous roar was heard from the tree, as some of it leaves fell off from it’s branches. Swiping his hand across him, the leaves that were falling to the ground were now heading towards the pinned down captain. There was nothing really special about the leaves just the fact their edges had become razor sharp and could leave a nice gash if they connected. But besides that there wasn’t much to the minuscule attack.

“Keep thinking that my love. For one doesn’t need to chase if one’s prey is already fallen in one’s trap now do we?” After he had finish speaking, across small spider like fissure formed to the right of him, and those that have previous been formed had slightly gotten larger. More blood was now oozing from the fissure on his arm and was lightly dripping on the cement below him. A sigh escaped Kenji’s lips as the plant within him was steadily feeding on his energy, though the amount was harmless to say the least.

The monstrous tree had finally freed itself from the roots that bound it and jumped over the arena wall, as it landed with a giant thud in front of Kenji. Bending his knees the captain jumped on one of the branches of the tree and stood on it “Attack my beast!” Using of one it’s branches, the flung it at the captain with enough concussive force that it could knock her out if it connected. While the branch was speeding towards the captain, the tree began it’s rather slow run towards the captain. Slow it might be but that wasn’t it’s strong point, it’s strong point resides in it’s long branches that were covered with leaves in which Kenji could use to attack with at any time.

Mina's eyes followed the progess it made, her fingers still trying to control her needles, while she was pinned down. And she was pinned down crazily good at the moment. It wasn't like she could snap the shafts off, because they were pinning both her hands down, and her needles weren't meant to destroy this kind of Kido. Her eyes were watching the leaves come towards her, and she felt one of them slice her hand near the shaft. Giving a large heave, she managed to break that shaft, and then broke the other two, as she watched the tree land in the area.

Her eyes had caught the blood falling from Kenji's arm, and she wished to heal him, because him bleeding was rather sad to her. She didn't actually want to hurt him.... Her feet carried her away from Kenji and tree, so that she could think, and avoid the branch that came at her. It caught her just barely and sent her flying, rolling until she hit the wall. Coughing hard, she wipes her mouth with the back of her hand, and looked up at Kenji, spitting out a mouth full of blood. She had cut her inner cheek when that had happened.

Her mind formulated a plan, and she went for it, as all her needles collected around her. Running forward towards the tree, she'd get close to the trunk, and spray her needles out, hopefully piercing Kenji with them. He wanted to fight like this, then so be it.

So the very leaves that meant to harm Mina, had managed to free her from the binding of the kido? Lovely, with every attack there was a slight chance that it could help out the opponent. The next event somewhat surprised Kenji, as he watched the branch barely connected with her and sent her flying into the wall. A part of him was mentally telling Mina to forgive him, but in order to gain anything from a spar one must fight as if their life depended on it. And that was Kenji’s motto...

Kenji blinked for a moment as he wondered why she was running towards the tree. Did she had a suicide wish or something? The monstrous tried to swat at the captain running towards it but with no prevail. It was at that moment something clicked within him, her needles...Kenji manage to jump off and hide behind the tree. Though this would do no good as a few of the needles caught him in his stomach, one even lodged itself into his right bicep. Not being bothered by the pain, he would simply smile at Mina “Finally got me eh? Nice.” Was all he said.

Getting into a defensive position, he motion for her to come on. If Mina thought this fight was over she had another thing coming.

Internally Mina had forgiven him already for this, but physically, and mentally, she hadn't even gotten close. And when her needles pierced him in mutiple places, she knew she was in trouble, and needed to rely on her Kido, but she was too close to Kenji now, and her head was starting to swim. Taking a step forward that turned more into a stumble, she looks up at him, or the pair of him, and reeled back a bit. She had to get away from him and his Reiatsu.

"Sōkatsui!!" She managed to slur out, firing the wide spread of yellow energy, before attempting to use shunpo to get away from him. Tripping up on one of the roots from the tree she was still much to close to, she fell down, trying to clear her head, and get away. Mina hated to feel drunk, it was messing with her abilities. And the needles were still trying to get back to her, but it was a slow process.

Oh how the captain of the 13th division wanted to chuckle at the seen before him. Mina Akiyama, the captain of the fourth division was now feeling for effects on his intoxicating reaistu. And if she thought that was the worse of it, then she would be sorely mistaken. For the longer she stays in it the closer she gets to the stage of vomiting, Kenji had seen others constantly vomited after spending too much time near him when his reaistu was on blast. This constant vomiting causes one’s air-pipes to get sore and worn out, for within the fluid that comes up with vomiting there’s stomach acid.

That’s why in some cases of those who tend to vomit every time they eat, their air-way been eaten away by their own potent stomach acid. The human body was amazing indeed. Kenji didn’t even attempted to attack the captain while she reeled backwards from him. The only thing he did was step closer every time she moved back. “Enkosen(Arc Shield)!” A round shield formed in front of Kenji as it took the kido attack head on. After it’s duty was finished with the shield disperse and shunpo right in front of Mina when she tripped over the roots and fell down.

If Mina was anyone else, his knee would have connected with her chin at the exact moment that she was falling down. Probably would have shattered their jaw. Mina was lucky that Kenji loved her “Come now, fight through the drunkness.” He said kneeling down at Mina and smiled before getting back up and walking away from her “ Tell me. Why are you holding back? What is it you trying to keep a secret? Or could it be you are like me?” Mina probably wouldn’t understand the words he spoke, but he was referring to the fact that he had only master his shikai eighty percent and he was afraid of using his bankai because of the two golems that he can summon and can’t control.

One would think that this shouldn’t matter for he wasn’t in bankai, but it does. For he also fears the same plant that he was about to summon soon. Turning around his looked at Mina, as the fissures upon the ground became larger, as well as the one on his arm.

Naseau was starting to rise up in her body the closer Kenji got to her, and for every step she took away from him, he took one towards her. Her eye attempted to focus on Kenji's figure that was swimming in front of her, and tried to get her mind back to her own by pumping up her own Spiritual Pressure. She heard what he had to say, but it didn't make sense to her at all. She didn't want to go into Bankai, because it would mean sheer death for Kenji, and she rather liked him living. "I-I'm n-not h-holding b-back...." She managed to stutter out as he walked away from her. Mina's mind went clearer, and she looked at Kenji, bringing her hand up and forming a green circle. "Gaki Rekkō!!!" She said as she aimed at his figure.

Her eyes had seen the wounds on his body, and she wanted to put her Shikai into healing mode and heal him, but that would be weak of her. "And I don't actually want to kill you. I never have." She said softly, watching him, as her needles against surrounded her.

A sigh escaped the captain’s lips as he thought about how much time had went by sent the seeds were planted. They were almost ready to make their appearance into this world and Kenji was mentally preparing for the battle that was about to come. Planting the seeds were easy, controlling them...well that was a different story. An eye brow raised as he listen to her words about not holding back. He just shrugged at the comment for he knew different all captains have bankai, he wondered why she didn’t want to show him hers? However that thought had to be put to the side for the moment.

Using flash step to the right of the blast, he would try to dodge most of the kido blast, allowing one of the beams to pierce through his shoulder. Blood slowly oozed from the wound that had been made, as Kenji just touched it and winced in pain. The pain wasn’t caused by wound inflicted it was caused by the fissure on his arm, growing in size. “I know you don’t. I’m actually treating you nicer then I would my own division, when it comes to training. Though I tend to make it up to them by allowing them to have days off and such.” He said smiling.

Too company the three fissures that were already formed in the cement, two more appeared and the earth shook slightly. Flash stepping again he appeared behind her “Is that the limit of your Shikai?” He asked. Kenji was obviously wanting to push his love to the limit, but the question is could he. “Your move, love.”

The sudden increase of the drunkeness make her nausea come back so quick that she was literally sick, falling down to her knees to bring up what little she had eaten that morning. She gave a small smirk, as three of her needles came down to her hand and then flew out at where she thought Kenji was through her extremely blurred vision. Her face would be extremely pale at this point, and her eyes blinking rapidly to try and clear them.

Shaking her head didn't help any, but she did it anyway, and knew she couldn't do this any longer. Her shikai release just wasn't enough at this time, but she'd have to make it enough. Staggering to her feet, she smirks at Kenji. "You're too close to me Kenji, and that's a problem.....for the pair of us." She said as her reaitsu increased to battle against his, and caused her head to go clearer. Her hands rose up and set the needles flying at Kenji's body.

What was the point of during this? The captain of the 13th division had shown that he was well adapted at fighting, and his usage of kido. But yet, he continued to fight the fourth division captain, the woman that he claimed to love. What was his motive? What would he gain from this? Obviously nothing from his love, for she would probably hate him for a week...or two...or more. But yet he did it anyway. What thoughts were circulating within his mind that not even she knew about? Some of these answers will come to pass, but the one he was fighting will not see it, that was for sure.

Dark brown orbs watched at the female expel her whatever she had eaten this morning. On second thought she didn’t eat anything for she was with him and he hadn’t made her breakfast. Oh, shame on him he will have to make that up to her later. Being one who never ate breakfast, the thought slipped his mind to be honest. Her needles would miss their target for Kenji wasn’t in front her but behind her. But just to be safe, his flash step to the right of hand leaning against a wall as she spoke. The fissures that were on the ground grew big enough that there was a nice small crater. Five small crater sizes holes were now visible at various points of the arena.

The fissure on his right arm had grown to the point that his internal muscles were seen, but surprisedly there was no bleeding. If one was close enough they would see what looked like brown roots interwining themselves within his very muscles. This was nothing more then the plant that he had planted into his very body, a nasty thing that was about to bloom in all it’s man-eating glory. “Kyokko!” Was the words he spoke as he flash step away from the needles that was surely going to follow him or at least try too. The light around the captain began to bend, as his presence and reiatsu was hidden from Mina.

“Shisotsu Sansen!” Was the next kido he used as he appeared ten feet in front of Mina, his left finger pointing at her firing the three beams of light that would attempted to pin her to the ground. However he would stay in his location long for he shunpo backwards increasing the distance between them “Want to call it quits? Only asking once.” He said, his voice hinting of concern for his love, clutching his zanpakuto with his right hand tightly. Kenji didn’t want Mina to stick around much longer for the thing that was about to make it’s appearance wasn’t the friendly type.

If only she knew what he was thinking, she'd really be mad at him for a week, if not longer, even though she couldn't physically be mad at anyone. Her needles didn't stand a chance to catch him and she knew it, so she called them back to her. Looking up at Kenji, she sees the wounds over his body, and felt like she was going to start to cry. She hadn't wanted to do that to him!! It hadn't been her intention!!! He moved to fast for her heaved wracked body to avoid, and she wound up pinned to the ground, and looking at him with her eyes. "I'm calling it quits Kenji, only as long as you let me heal you. You're bleeding from too many wounds to make me feel comfortable." She said letting her head lie back on the ground.

Mina's eyes still stung like she was going to start to cry, because she hadn't wanted Kenji to get hurt so much. This hadn't been her intention to spar this way with him, and when he fought he was like a different person, and it scared her a little bit. He was so intent, and willing to kill her, that she actually felt threatened by him.

A smile came across his face as his whole features seemed to soften as he listens to her words. So the spar was over but yet he didn’t get to summon the one thing he must face sooner or later. His shikai that rested in his right hand reverted back to the dark green necklaces, as the plants that was suppose to sprout up would vanish from the area. The wound upon his right arm began to heal itself as a small seed pop out of the wound as it finally closes and disappears. Moving over towards Mina, he would kneel down on one knee as the kido spell that bounded her, broke “Yes you can but lets get out of here first.” Was the words he spoke, as he lifted Mina off the cement.

His flash step, he would make their way back to his captain quarters as he place her in his captain seat and throwing his haori on the other chair. Despite not showing it the captain of the 13th division was in pain and he was losing blood from various puncture wounds. Though that’s the price one pay when training. Mina would noticed that he was breathing heavy as he sat down in the empty chair. “Well now, that was fun.” He said trying to chuckle but only to grimace in pain.
