~Personality~

Personality: Hayate has a generally up beat personality, and usually finds it quite easy to make friends with someone. He quite enjoys a bit of fun, but won't let that get in the way of his duty. He treats all of higher rank generally quite well, particularly those in the sixth division. Most of the time though, he seems to enjoy the simple things as much as he possibly can so that he can be serious when he needs to be. He is deadly loyal to anyone he considers a friend, it is one of the only reasons why he would ever go against an order.

His blindness doesn't seem to make him feel at all down, and people seem to find this somewhat odd about him. The reason for this is simply because he has a vivid imagination that most people lack, simply because he has to imagine what things look like in the real world.

History:

As a human, Hayate was always quite an active young lad. Finding himself outside more often than not playing with his friends while still helping his father tend to the crops and animals on his farm. Though, his unfortunate end came when he was quite young, only ten years of age, when a man attempted to break into his families house and he attempted to stop him, the last thing he heard was a man firing off his gun, though by the time he realised that, he was already somewhere completely new.

He was reborn in Soul Society, an orphan, though now he was somewhat different. Apparently, the man had shot him had also taken away his sight, how he wasn't exactly sure. Blindly, the young boy wandered around, lost. Until he was found by someone, a young shinigami who had only recently finished her training at the academy. Luckily for Hayate, she was sympathetic to his plight, so he took him in.

Hayate was quickly trained, he worked hard to overcome his blindness, and was rewarded with a heightened sense of things. In some ways he was more perceptive than others, particularly when it came to sensing reiatsu. He was practically unrivalled. His training days were soon over, and he was ready to join the ranks of the shinigami as an unseated officer of the sixth division.

Since his recruitment, he had still lived with them for a while. But, they had left on a mission apparently, and didn't return... Since then he had never sensed or heard from her, and according to some of the others, she had died. In this shinigami's honour, he vowed to do his best. And with further training, he would do so. Rising up through the ranks until finally becoming third seated officer of the sixth division.

~Zanpakuto Information~

Blade Name: Tsukuyomi
Sealed Blade appearance: A black bladed katana, with a silver edge. Otherwise normal.
Zanpaktou spirit: Tsukuyomi is a young man, not much older looking than Hayate. He has short dark hair and wears a black cloak over a grey robe. He seems quite contented almost all the time and is quite kind.
Inner world Tsukuyomi's inner world is on the top of a cliff over an ocean, being a clearing in a forest, lit only by the full moon.

Release Phrase: Find them, Tsukuyomi
Released blade appearance: The blade becomes more ornate, the silver on the edge of the blade branching out into intricate patterns along the blade, which also gets longer. The silver has a dull glow to it.


~Shikai Techniques/Abilities~

Name of abilty/technique: Slaying darkness
Description: The glow along the blade becomes red, the blade itself seems to draw in light from the surrounds, making the area darker even if it is the middle of the day. The range is about 100 meters from where he is. Though this isn't the power of the technique. While in the darkened area, the enemy will fall pray to a subtle illusion. It hides his true movements completely. But doesn't directly affect the world as it should. If he treads on grass, a perceptive enemy would see that it wouldn't crush under his footsteps. (So, he becomes invisible, but he still can leave a trail and still affects the environment. For example if he was injured and bleeding, the decoy wouldn't leave any blood behind, while the real one would) It also only works while they are in the area of effect. Heightened Senses: Hayate has used his other senses (Such as taste, smell, hearing and touch) to make up for his blindness, and as such is more perceptive than the average being.

Reiatsu Sensing: As well as his other senses Hayate had found that he could sense other beings reiatsu with incredible ease. And as he got stronger, so did the sensing. It got to a point where he could almost 'see' a being, and pin point exactly where it was anywhere around him.

In close combat, he can use it to defend against attacks and such, as well as being able to track escaping opponents for long distances and tell the difference between races simply by gauging their reiatsu. If he has spent some time with a person, he can also tell them apart from others simply by their own unique reiatsu.

Hayate woke early in the morning, or at least that is what he thought it was. Unfortunately for him no matter how well he could sense things, he couldn't quite figure out the time of day exactly. Though, as he made his way outside, he could feel the morning sun warming him, it was still a little cold, but warm enough to not want to make him go back inside just yet. Instead, he went on a short walk, moving towards the sixth division barracks to check in and see if they needed something important doing today.

When he got there, he was sorely disappointed, apparently the captain was out and no one really needed his help. Instead, he had been given the day off unless something came up. As he walked the streets of Rukongai, trying to find his favorite hangout, he felt someone bump into him. “Excuse me sir” the man sounded quite sincere, but Hayate figured that it was something of a scam. As he also picked up on a lightening in his pocket, as well as the distinct sound of coins clinking together. ”You steal from the blind do you?” he grinned, the man stopped in his tracks.

“H-how did you know!” Hayate turned to face him, tilting his head slightly as if he was looking at him. ”You were clumsy, come on, hand it over” he held out his hand, and was given back the bag and the man scampered off before anything else happened. As he pocketed the bag, he checked another. ”Ha... sucker” he had managed to double cross him, using the own man's thievery against him, while he was stealing from Hayate, Hayate had stolen from him... karma eh?
