| Raiden's steps were sure as he walked along the path that patrolled the night watch. He was doing his rounds to check up on the entire watch that the 3rd Division set. He had been here for more years then he cared to mention, but that was alright, because....well....he liked his life here. Everyday was just a little bit different then the one before.
Except for one thing. Every single day, he got to see his Captain up close and personal. Though, if Raiden really cared to admit it, he was half in love with his Captain. Just a few more people to check on, and then it would be dawn. Raiden was ready to start his day, after having ended his night. Tomorrow night's watch was set for the fourth Seat, but Raiden would see if he would actually do his job. He rather doubted it to be honest, but he'd give him the benefit of the doubt.
A smile crossed over his face and he chatted quietly with one of the Shinigami on duty. This was his family now, and the Yakuza that had raised him really didn't mean anything to him anymore, and he didn't give them a passing thought. The 3rd Division was his family, and his life, especially the perpetually depressed Captain, Kira Izuru.
And that man had seemed to only get more depressed since he had found out that Gin Ichimaru was being held in the cells of the 6th Division. Raiden's voice was deep, and softly gravely as he talked to the final person on his watch list. He'd catch a quick twenty minutes of sleep and then he'd be in reporting to Kira for his watch people, who would all slip their reports under his door, and he'd deliver them to the Captain. Every day that Raiden watched his Captain feel depressed about Gin, was a day that Raiden felt that his Captain was slipping further and further away from him. He had to do something that would allow Kira to be happy too.
After his twenty minute catnap, he stifled a yawn as he carried his papers in his hands and towards the Captain's office. Today was going to be a good day, he'd make sure of it. A soft knock on the door, just in case his Captain had fallen asleep at his desk again, he opened the door, and spoke in his soft and gravely voice, "Kira-taichou....I've got the watches' reports here..." His eyes roved around the office as he spoke. |

| Kira had been in his office most of the night doing the last bits of paperwork. He was thinking of going to his room were it was quieter , but he decied against. He knew he had to stay his his office a little longer to wait for the patrol reports. Looking to the clock he let go a small bored sigh. Before getting up from his chair and making his way over to his cupbaored. Upon reaching it he made a pot of tea for himself. When the tea was finished he took a cup back to his desk. After sitting in his chair once more he placed his cup on the table and took a out a sheet of paper.
On the sheet of paper he wrote: The wind comes again Passing its judement on me What is my fate
Will i bow once more Will it take me as its prisoner I can't take it again
You don't know its pain You have created so much pain Can't you wake me up.
After writting the third haiku he let his writting untencil drop to the desk. Before picking up his tea and began drinking it. When he was finished with a cup he looked to the cup once more and wondered where the reports where. Another sigh the reached his lips as he placed his cup and the desk and got up once more. He then went over to the couch and took a seat. Where he rested his hands in his lap and stared at them with a depressed look on his face.
After a couple moments he could hear footsteps outside in the hallway but, he ignored them. Only a moment later he heard the voice of his third seat enter the room telling him about the reports. The blond looked up slightly in the direction of the door." Come in Ray kun'' he said in a calm tone before letting go another small depressed sigh. Only a second after speaking he looked back down at his hands in his lap. Hoping that the reports wernt due untill tomarrow so, he could take a break.

| Raiden's eyes locked onto his captain the moment he found him. Giving a smile, he felt the smile leave his face as he took in his Captain's depressed appearance. "Ah....Taichou, is everything okay? I mean you're looking more depressed then usual...." Raiden spoke quietly, and moved towards the blonde man.
Ah, he had to get this in the proper order first!!! Taking the papers to Kira's desk, he sets them down before going to crouch in front of his Captain. "The only thing that those papers need is your signature. I've dealt with the rest. Now please, tell me what's wrong..." he said, his gravely voice still soft. Of all his friends, and those he was loyal to, Kira was the only one that Raiden couldn't seem to cheer up. Every time Raiden turned around, his Captain was more depressed then the last time, and Raiden was honest to god worried about his Captain. |

| Izuru looked to the ground a little more when the boy asked if he was ok. His third seat and Momo always knew when something was on his mind. The both of them also always tried to cheer him up in some way. Keeping silent the blond captain finally looked up at the boy when crouched down in front of him. Wrinkling his nose slightly he could feel a slight amount of pain in his neck from bowing his head down to long. The boy then told him what the paperwork on the desk needed and blond figured he should probably get that done. But , the boy was crouched in front of him and he didn’t want to be rude by getting up.
As much as he didn’t want to tell the boy what was bothering him he knew he had to say something. The whole story was that he was thinking his ex captain again. Last night the young blond had another nightmare about him. And this one he woke up on the other side of the room sweating bullets. " Just one of my usual nightmares. Its normal so, he shouldn’t worry. " he told the boy in a calm tone followed by a small depressed sigh. As he hoped the boy would ask him to explain the dream further as a cooping method or something.

| Raiden knew that he had been in the way of Kira getting up and he had done that on purpose. After all, it's not like Raiden was stupid about liking his Captain. Looking at the depressed appearance of his taichou, he holds back his own sigh. There was no reason for Kira to see that his own third seat was feeling depressed like his Taichou. Raiden wasn't stupid enough to not know about his Taichou's nightmares, and they usually involved his former Taichou, Gin Ichimaru. That made him want to erase the other man from the face of the Soul Society so that his Captain wouldn't have to worry over him anymore.
"What were they about this time Kira-Taichou? You know that I'm not going to tell anyone." Raiden said, speaking honestly. He wouldn't tell anyone at all if he didn't think that he needed to be saved. |

| Kira made a face in his thoughts at the red headed boys next words. He had asked the very words he didn’t want him to ask. The captain remained silent as the boy told him he wouldn’t tell anyone. Zu knew the boy wouldn’t due such a thing because of his loyalty. But , he wasn’t sure if he wanted to tell the other boy. He sometimes told momo about his dreams because she could understand were he was coming from. Because she too had lost a captain that she loved to betrayal. Kira knew this boy had probably never felt something like that before. The blond then let a small as he looked down at his lap before leaning back against the couch.
" Betrayal , loss" he final said not really wanting to tell the boy more. Because the rest of the dream involved stuff he rather not share out loud with anybody. He even wouldn’t tell momo that part of the dream. So, he hoped the boy wouldn’t ask him for any more details. He knew the boy cared and wanted to cheer him up but ,there was just stuff he couldn’t tell the boy. He hoped the boy would understand this and let him be about. Talking about it usually just made him think about it more and feel worse about it.

| Raiden knew when to push and when not to push. This was one of those times when he was not supposed to push. He walked a fine line right now, between doing what he needed to, to cheer up his captain, and insubordination. But he couldn't help unless Kira told him about what was going on. And Raiden wanted to help a lot. It would come with time, or so he hoped. "Okay Taichou. I know how that goes. It sucks, but sometimes, it's unavoidable, not entirely our own fault. After all, you can't be betrayed if you don't trust someone, and you can't believe in a Captain that you don't trust."
Raiden only hoped that he was guessing correctly that the Former 3rd Division Captain was to blame for the nightmares his Captain was having. But he needed to distract his Taichou from his worry. And the only thing that came to his mind was to kiss and run. It certainly wasn't the most intelligent of things, but perhaps it would get Kira to realize that he was true to his word, and that he did care. Standing up, Raiden quickly leaned down and kissed the side of Kira's face, just a soft and quick kiss. It wasn't meant to scare. But perhaps startle instead. |

| Kira let a go small sigh as the red heads words to him about betrayal. The boy was most certainly wrong , because he did trust Gin. So, the boy in fact did not know how that went. The blond knew it wasn’t his fault , but sometimes he felt like it was. He knew he couldn’t have stopped it but , he wished he could have done something. Looking up at the boy slightly he let go another small sigh. " Your right Raiden kun but, I did trust Ichimaru Taichou"' he finally said in a calm but, depressed tone of voice. The blond then stared into space again for a couple moments. Moments later he felt the third seated officer kiss his cheek.
The third squad captain looked to the boy with a confused look on his face. Upon his cheeks a small amount of pink had appeared. Izu didn’t know what to but , he wondered why the boy had did that. Was the boy trying to tell him something was another thing that crossed his mind. After kissing him the boy had stood probably to avoid trouble or something. Not saying anything the blond captain stood up from the couch to his full height. After standing he looked back at the boy with the warmness still his cheeks. This confused the blond and he wondered why he had turned pink in the cheeks.

| Kira didn't know what had happened to Raiden before he came here. Raiden was a person that trusted absolutely and once that trust was broken it was disasterous. One couldn't underestimeate him when it came to his loyalty, and any break was hard to heal. "I know. I watched you try to hold together when he defected. It was tough to just stand by, but I didn't know how to help you at that time."
Raiden looked into his Captain's eyes and slide his hands into his pockets to stop himself from touching the blonde. "You see Taichou, there's only one way that I can see to help you now that he's back. And that's to show you that you don't need him to be strong. You're the Captain now, so this is going to be completely out of line, but I like you. I've liked you for a while now, and seeing you so depressed over a man who just used you is killing me inside." |

| Kira listened to his third seats words in silence remembering how it used to be back then. Sure he had held up the squad when his captain defected , but their was doubt in the squad members. Alot of them didn’t think he could do it , and he had heard them talk about on many occasions. After a while after some hard ships it kind of died down. And now a days since achieving bankai and becoming captain it doesn’t seem to happen much anymore to his knowledge. The blond the let go a small depressed sigh as he wondered if the talking really had stopped. If it didn’t he must really to lost in his thought to not have noticed.
For a while as the boy spoke the captain was in his own little world. But , when the boy seemed to change the subject a bit his looked the boy. The then told him there only one way he could help him now that gin was back. Kira raised his zig zagged eyebrow slightly at this wondering what the boy meant. Kira made a face in thoughts when the boy told him he didn’t needed his former captain to be strong. He knew that but, he could help but worry over the fox faced man. The third seats next words confused about liking him. He had a idea but, he wanted to make sure it was the one he was thinking of. " What are you trying to say?" he asked calmly as attempt to get some more words from the boy.

| Raiden liked to think tha the was a brutually honest man. Honest to the point that he wouldn't beat around the bush, and just say what was on his mind. Usually anyway. But this time, he didn't want to just come out and say it. He wanted the mystery, and the guessing. Even as this thought went through his head, he was speaking. "Taichou I like you to the point where I want to kiss you senseless, and love you till the sun comes up." He said, sweatdropping on the inside. Damn his mouth. Why couldn't he have just kept his mouth shut with that line? This was going to be a very illicit relationship, he could tell.
And if anyone caught wind of it, they would both be in a hell of a lot of trouble for it. |

| Kira remained silent and just after the boy had spoke again. He could believe the re headed boy had just said that to him. He knew some captain would dismiss it right after hearing it. And would mostly likely tell him he should say such a thing to their captain. The harshest captain would probably even punish the boy for his words. As shocked as he was Kira didn’t want to do anything like to the do. He didn’t feel it was right to punish someone for their feelings. If it was just he would have been punished alot time ago for his. The opened his mouth to speak but , closed it again a second later.
Izuru looked away from the boy as he thought about the boys words some more . Taking a deep breathe he walked closer to the boy and just looked at him. As he stood there he tried to convince himself to say something. Because they boy was probably thinking that he hated him or something. The blond knew he had been very distracted lately so, maybe it would nice to get his mind of things. But , he didn’t really know what to the say to boy as small pink appeared on his cheeks. "Really" he finally got out sounding a little nervous.
The blond tried to think of a better response , but nothing seemed to come. " That’s uh sweet" he got out feeling kind of stupid afterward , but his brain just wasn’t working ,and his cheeks felt warm with embarrassment. A short moments later he took another step toward the boy so he was right in front of him. He then stayed silent like he was waiting for something to happen.

| Raiden was nervous now. Damn his mouth. He could not believe that he had just blurted that out. But the moment that blush appeared on Kira's face, Raiden had a sense of winning. That his gamble, foolish as it was, had paid out. That he had won. And every step that Kira took towards Raiden was another step that he took away from Gin, at least in Raiden's mind. And with the blonde directly in front of him, waiting for something to happen, he couldn't stop himself. His hands framed his taichou's face and he leaned down to kiss him, keeping it soft and gentle. Pulling his lips away for a moment, Raiden spoke softly, in his gravely voice. "Sweet isn't even in my vocabulary for what I want to do to you Taichou. It doesn't even come close."
His lips descended again to Kira's and this kiss wasn't as soft and gentle as the first one, but more passionate, and wanting to erase any and all sadness that Kira had ever experienced in his life time. |

| In his silence standing in front of the boy he didn’t expect what happen next. Sure he had been waiting for something to happen , but he still didn’t expect this. Within seconds after stopping in front of the red headed boy that boys hands were framing his face. That action was then connected with gently kisses on his lips. Kira froze at this feeling wondering if should let the boy do such a thing. The blond captain was obviously higher ranked then the boy before him. So, he could technically punish him for doing that, like some other people would. Before he could respond the boy broke the kiss and looked at him. He then told that sweet wasn’t in his vocabulary for the thing he wanted to do.
Izuru 's eyes widen in surprise at the boys words to him. Those words that the boy had said should defiantly not have been said to a captain. Before the blue eyed boy could express the question to the boy to confirm want he was thinking he was stopped. The 3rd seats lips were on his once more kissing him more passionate than before. As this happen a deep red came across the blonds pale cheeks. It seemed beyond the blonds control in his mind but , his arms went around the boys neck. Despite protests that seemed to be filling his thoughts about this he began to gently kiss the boy back.

| If anyone walked in on them, Raiden was dead. End of story, he was completely and utterly dead. There was absolutely no way to make this not look like he was kissing hell out of his Taichou, and his Taichou responding back...wait Kira was actually responding now!!! God this was not going to be good if they got caught. But the feel of the slimmer man's arms around his neck spurred Raiden's actions on, as his hands slid down Kira's body to his hips, pulling him closer to himself. It was quickly getting harder for Raiden to resist laying his taichou down on that couch and loving him till he was hoarse. But he had to. Raiden had to. Especially since he did not want to just be a replacement for Gin. Not that he had any thoughts in his mind that Kira could confuse the two of them.
Raiden's hands went behind Kira's back, and laced themselves together, as he continued his assault on Kira's lips. He had to be good, and not scare the living shit out of his Taichou. Slow and steady.... God it was going to kill him. |

| The blond could feel his mind racing as he kissed the boy. His mind told him many things like what if someone walked in. And most important what in the hell am I doing and why do I feel compelled to do this. Is it a desperate attempt to numb my depression for a while he asked himself next. As that thought went through his mind he felt the boys hands slid down to his skinny waist. Within a second he was pulled closer by the red head male. The boy hands only stand there briefly and then laced behind the captain's back. Kira then wondered if the boy had something on his mind. As the blond thought about this he could hear footsteps outside the door.
Lucky for them the footsteps soon disappeared down the hallway. After a couple moments the contradicting thoughts started to come back. So, he had to do something to cure them. After all this would probably take his mind off this for at least a little while anyway. Pausing briefly he tried to ignore his thoughts and began to kiss the boy a little deeper. He could feel himself shaking ever so slightly but , he ignored it. He wanted to show no negative signs that might give the other boy mixed signals. Footsteps came and went as the blond's slender fingers found themselves gripping the red heads collar tightly.

| Raiden wished that he had thought to lock the door, but he wasn't thinking of too much more then the blonde that was in his arms. Raiden was quickly wanting to let his control go so that he could just ravage the man in his arms. His lips on his taichou's shift the angle of the kiss as he felt Kira responding. If he could make Kira forget about Gin at least for the time that he was with Raiden, then Raiden would be a happy man. The footsteps had him tensing up a little bit, because if they stopped outside of the door, Raiden was going to break away from Kira faster then anyone could imagine. After all, it wasn't like he could risk getting caught. If they were caught, Raiden would take the rap for the entire think.
But the feet kept walking. There were a few other instants where that also happened, and Raiden again prepared to move away, but never needed to. His eyes were closed, but he could feel the grip on his collar tighten, and the blonde kiss him back like he meant it. Without thinking, Raiden took control of the kiss again, sliding his tongue out to move against Kira's lips softly, requesting an entrance. He was going to kiss his Captain senseless before the hour was out. |

| Kira felt the other man's lips shift silent but , the blond continued to kiss back. In his mind he just figured the man was tense because of the foot steps outside the door. That was probably because he was afraid someone would come in and catch them. It was probably getting late now so, no one would probably come in. The paper on his desk was already stacked for the day so, there really could't be more. The captain should actually be doing that paperwork sleeping on his desk. But, his body didn't really feel like moving because , it was occupied with something else. The paper work just reminded him of his despair while this other distraction seemed to numb it.
When the foot steps died down a little the red headed boy seemed to become more confident. Because a second later the blond could feel the boys tongue against his lips. As that happened the blond could feel a warmness in his stomach that seemed to control his body. To the extent that it was another personality that let the other boys tongue claim his mouth. With the warmness mind kicking in more by the second the blonds tongue perked forward shyly as he kissed the boy. A dark blush had also seemed to make its nest on his pale cheeks.

| Every time those footsteps grew close to the office, Raiden couldn't feel the need to pull away from Kira. Did he like it? Hells yes. But he also knew that if say....Lightning-taichou were to walk in on them, that Raiden would be dead very quickly. Raiden shoved that thought from his mind and concentrated on the fact that Kira had opened his mouth to him. Go slow Raiden. Don't be stupid and ruin your chance to make your Taichou happy. He thought to himself as his tongue entered Kira's mouth, and was met with his own. Another small shift of mouths let Raiden kiss Kira deeper then before and felt the heat against his own cheek. His Captain was blushing....because Raiden was kissing him. SCORE!!!
Raiden wanted to do something with his hands beyond holding Kira's body close to him. But to be perfectly honest, it would be so much easier to continue this on a bed....or the couch. NO! Raiden was not going to make love to his Captain on a couch for the first time. It had to be perfect, and he had to find a way to do it without getting the pair of them caught....God he was so frustrated right now.....He needed to find a way to satisfy them both!!! |

| The footsteps were beginning to make the blond nervous as well, but it was getting late. As it got later the foot steps usually stopped , because everyone had gone to bed. That thought made the blond wonder what time it was. He wanted to check but, he didn't want to break the kiss either. As he felt the red head's tongue hit his own he trembled slightly and gripped the boys collar more. I bet i can go to sleep faster he heard from outside the door before it became completely silent. Kira wondered what that was about, but it was to busy getting kissed to worry. Wanting his mind to cleared more he broke the kiss and looked at the third seat. He then became silent for a moment as he gathered himself.
" Its getting late... we should go to my room" he said in a calm tone ,before looking up at the clock. According the to the clock it was reaching elven thirty at night in the soul society. Letting some air escape his lips he shut the lights to his office and walked to the door. After opening the door he stepped outside and waited for the other boy to follow. As he waited to looked down the hallway for people. The ghost was clear so, he began walking figuring the boy would follow him. Arriving at his door he walked inside and left the door open for the third seat to come in.

| Raiden was slightly surprised when Kira broke the kiss, and then bade him to follow him to his rooms. Oh god damn this was going to be a good night, Raiden could tell. He was happier then a pig in shit. This was so totally paying off, he could tell. Raiden didn't even think about it, when he followed Kira right into his rooms, and shut the door behind him, locking it. This was no one could walk in on them. Raiden was going to protect his captain whether the man wanted him to or not. Raiden's arms wrapped around Kira again from behind and pressed in close, showing his captain what he was doing to him. “This is all your fault Kira-taichou, not that I'm complaining.” Raiden's gravely voice was soft in Kira's ear, and lightly bit the other man's ear as Raiden's hands slid into the top half of Kira's uniform feeling the pale and smooth skin with his hands, hands that were calloused and slightly worse for wear. |
