The constant breeze that was sweeping through the halls of Los Noches, seemed cooler than usual. The sound of one’s footsteps could be heard echoing off of the white walls, as they made their way to the leader’s chambers. For once, the usually melancholic Arrancar, Nova Kolbra, had a disgruntled look on his face.

The personal guard was rapidly approaching Incognita’s chambers, he had some business to attend to. The countless twists and turns in the hallway, would make most newcomers, confused but, Nova had been wandering these halls for years. Finally the arrancar reached his destination and with a quick breath in and a sudden change in his facial expression, Nova knocked on the door leading to Incognita’s room.

It was little business to do before the Invasion. It had surprised Incognita, as she had expected much chaos and pandemonium. But, no. They seemed almost as cool as her. It was to an extent, relieving as she had been feeling unexplainably tired the last days. Perhaps it was the leader role that tore her down? No, that wasn't it. She had filled the role as their leader well, at least by her standards. She thought of the second option; Time was coming to a close. No, not yet... Szayel's former Lab Assistant had yet to make the device that made this invasion possible. She had to wait. Szayel's laboratory was key to her success, at the very least for her most loyal followers.
She slowly opened her eyes. Someone was knocking at the door to the throneroom. Who could it be? she thought as the knocking stopped. She had been sitting in a rather unfitting position, with her legs over the left armrest and resting her head on her right hand, but sat up properly as she was about to welcome the arrancar outside her door. Incognita briefly glanced at the pair of Numero who stood inside in order to open and close the door. When the door swung open, she saw her personal guard, Nova Kolbra, standing there. The eyebrows over her usually empty eyes rose. What business could he have with her today? Welcome, my friend. Her greeting phrase was different, as long as she talked to her Personal Guards. They were, after all, her most trusted companions in Las Noches. She briefly eyed the two Numero. The message was pretty clear; They were to be alone. The two Numero let him walk inside, before walking outside and closing the door behind them. Now. As you have entered the Throne Room, I assume you have something on your mind? Incognita said, watching the man. It seemed like a rather important matter, as he had entered without talking with her on the beforehand.

Nova was quiet, he waited as the doors to the throne room opened. The old arrancar made his way slowly into the room, and bowed to his leader. After bowing, Nova made his way further into the room, he did have something on his mind, the upcoming invasion had him thinking. “Incognita….” Nova looked away for a moment, he was searching for the right words. “what is the true nature of this invasion?”

It wasn’t like Nova to question Incognita’s motives or judgments, but there was something scratching at the back of his mind, no good was going to come of this.

"Mr. Kolbra, please do not bow for me. I see you as my ally and friend, not a subordinate. Please remember that." she said after the man had bowed before her. As he started to speak, a sigh filled her empty mind. This question was predicted, in the simplest way. And the fact that it was Nova who asked, made it even more predicted. "I have awaited this question, Nova. I thought one of the Espada would ask before you did, though." Her face was directed towards the roof in a dreamy-like state. "My plan... Is to teach future generations something important." Yes, indeed. The generations after her would learn something important from her actions. There would be sacrifices on the way, involving other people. But some people, were too precious to die. These would be saved, somehow. And she knew who could help her with this little dilemma. As she looked back at Nova, her bangs fell to the side. Her horribly mismatched eye came into sight. It was as usual, red with a blue pupil. She didn't bother at covering it when she was in front of her personal guards, but it might be seen as terrifying by their standards too. The eye was the most dreaded part of herself, or rather part of this body. It didn't belong to her, to say it clearly. Besides, this very eye had the effect to uncontrollably release a distorting reiatsu on some occations. It was mostly when she didn't focus on anything, but just drifted in the peaceful land of calm minds. "Did you want anything else, Nova?" she asked with a small motherly smile on her lips. Things would have been like before if she had a cat on her lap and a loving husband next to her. But that dream had been broken and distorted by the gruesome God known as the World. It was too late to weep and too late to meet him in the skies...

Nova’s face didn’t seem to shift or show an expression when he received his answer, it was quite frank and wasn’t to Nova’s liking. Had it been any other event or decision, Nova would have been satisfied with such an answer. “just what do you plan on teaching, the generations to come. If you don’t mind my asking.” Nova’s voice was calm and polite, but he wasn’t going to leave this room, till he got the answers he needed.

The personal guard stood silently, unlike most arrancar who either feared Incognita, Nova felt completely comfortable, he could trust her judgment on most matters, but this upcoming invasion was something that the ancient arrancar did not understand. For a brief moment, Nova’s purple gaze fell upon Incognita’s mismatched eye, the sight did not bother Nova, he found it unique and interesting. “you must understand Incognita…..that no good will come of this event.” these last words were a bit redundant, Nova knew better than anybody, that Incognita knew the risks of such a stunt.
