~Personality~

Personality: Kneshirou is known for his sharp senses of hearing, sight and smell as well as sensing other spirit power from a distance. He is usually laid back on the roofs of Sereitei’s buildings overlooking the people from below, catching the breeze while watching if people are up to mischief. Although he is mellow, he can be frustrated if pushed too far. He believes in his own conscience if matters are right or wrong and will not let his answer go unheard. He never looks down on others and always believes there to be light in every dark situation. He has always wondered what it would be like to be amongst the captains, he craves their respect for one another and for their subordinates which for Kenshirou led his own ambition of becoming a great role model for others underneath him. He would always put others before himself despite if he liked them or not in any situation even though he may not show it as he has a passive attitude towards others. Kenshirou is also a great fan of birds, canines and many other animals abroad the world he knows of. His biggest fears would be watching the death of others he had grown accustom to or even watching the captains of the 13 squads fall in battle, but he has the will to fight for those in need despite how strong the enemy may be

History: Kenshirou had no memory of being alive in the real world as anyone in soul society shouldn’t. In Rukongai, Kenshirou had strange dreams in which he was calling out for his Zanpakuto without knowing which his father watched every night until he thought of a way he could try help and compress it. The day came when his father taught him to use a sword in which he trained almost every day to know how to use it well and master it before learning to use two swords in which he favoured. He turned to a life of crime soon after to get medicine for his unwell father. He climbed the ranks of the gangs in Rukongai and gained fame in which he did not wish for. Although, this led him to an unexpected turning point in his life when a shinigami found him and recruited him into the soul academy to learn how to use his powers to his full potential.

Many years had passed and Kenshirou graduated from the soul academy. He received his Zanpakuto and immediately began training with them in the barracks. One night, in his sleep Kenshirou finally learnt the name of his Zanpakuto, ‘Hikari to Kage’ (Light and Shadow), and began training for shikai for months on end. Once Kenshirou achieved Shikai the 11th squad enlisted him into their ranks as a seated officer after testing him with a seated member of their own, an unexpected confrontation. They sent Kenshirou out to the real world for many difficult missions but he always came out on top in the end. Nothing was going to put Kenshirou down.

The mysterious disappearances of many shinigami including, captains, vice-captains and seated officers suddenly had soul society in a serious situation. Quickly the Gotei members were called upon and the captains were replaced. Kenshirou thought that his chance to shine was now and worked very hard to improve his skills to show his worth towards the captains and the rest of the shinigami. Renji Abarai was not found and squad 6 already replaced their captain, Kenshirou thought to himself that if Renji Abarai could move from squad 13 to vice-captain of squad 6, then he could do the same.

As Kenshirou was improving in his ranks, a rather remarkable thing happened. He was put forth as a candidate for vice-captain of another squad. Squad 6 of the Gotei protection squads. As much as Kenshirou loved squad 11 he knew they would not accept him for his shikai abilities as they were a brute squad that didn't believe in kido or bakudo. They only believed in swordsmanship. Kenshirou gladly accepted in hopes that he can one day become a captain of a squad of his own one day and vice-captain was the next big step. The ceremony began and he was awarded the rank of vice-captain.

~Zanpakuto Information~

Blade Name: Hikari to Kage (Light and Shadow)
Sealed Blade appearance: The hilt of the Zanpakuto is covered in a shade of black cloth which covers the entire hilt until it reaches the bottom where it is a solid gold part of the handle. The handle guard is a silver coloured oval shape that gives surrounding protection to the users hands. The sheath of the sword is a solid black colour with gold around the top and also a gold design of a circle split into three near the top as well.
Zanpaktou spirit: Kenshirou's Zanpakuto's spirit is actually two spirits in one inner world. Hikari (Light) is a beautiful female in white and Kage (Shadow) is a male in dark clothing. They seem to speak to Kenshirou as his two consciences of good and evil but they both seem to switch who is good and who is bad at various times.
Inner world The inner world of Kenshirou's Zanpakuto is a parallel world of light and darkness. Above is complete darkness while blow is pure white. It seems to be what some people believe to be purgatory, a transitional phase between heaven and hell where there is nothing but a floor and a ceiling. Hikari is usally awaiting Kenshirou while Kage appears mysteriously out of the ceiling when Kenshirou arrives.

~Shikai Information~

Release Phrase: Jibun de hyōji! Hikari to Kage! (Show Yourself! Light and Shadow!)
Released blade appearance: The released Zanpakuto form is still two katana but does have a significant difference. The 1st katana (light) is a beautiful white coloured katana with black streaks of cloth around the hilt of the sword and a piece of white cloth that dangles from the handle. The 2nd sword (shadow) is a black coloured katana with white streaks of cloth along the hilt with a black piece of cloth the dangles from the handle of the sword. They both have an oval shaped handle guard that is silver and they each still have gold at the bottom of the handle. The sheath is white for the 1st sword and black for the 2nd with gold stripes along the top


~Shikai Techniques/Abilities~

Name of abilty/technique: Mabayui bakari no Hikari (Blinding Light)
Description: One sword controls light. By using the 1st sword (light) Kenshirou can cast out a strong light. This works in two ways also: it can disfigure the opponent’s eyesight for a short time but its ability is to draw out shadows from its surroundings to strengthen the 2nd swords ability.

Name of abilty/technique: Kage Shimetsuke (Shadow stranglehold)
Description: The 2nd swords ability is to manipulate the shadows, controlling the shadows to extend and to move wherever the user wishes; although shadow can be limited Kenshirou uses shadow to ricochet off other shadows to give a longer reach. If the opponent is caught into the shadows it halts their movements, paralyzing them from movement leaving them defenceless for Kenshirou to commit a powerful blow. However, if the opponent has a high enough spirit power they can break free from the shadows before Kenshirou can reach them.

~Rp Sample~

Relaxing on the rooftops of Rukongai as usual, looking at the clear blue skies, clouds drifting away as the sun was going down, Kenshirou’s father had called for him. Arriving to his father’s wishes his father gave him a wooden stick shaped like a katana.

“What’s this father?” Kenshirou asked.

“Son, I have heard you in your sleep. You talk of hollows in the darkness invading the light of our homes. It is about time I told you something. You always admired the people being brought to the soul academy. I know you can make something of yourself. The shadows move oddly while you are in your sleep and you are always mentioning about searching for someone in your dreams. Follow your dreams and seek out what you were brought here to do.” His father replied.

Kenshirou stood in awe. He looked down amongst the wooden sword and began his training soon after. He fought against his father almost every day from morning till late at night. Sweat and blood were put into all of Kenshirou’s efforts against his father until the day he had beaten him.

Kenshirou’s father then explained that he had been training to be in soul academy from as long as he could recall. The dreams that Kenshirou had were obvious to his father that he was calling out for his Zanpakuto and vice versa.

Soon after, Kenshirou’s father grew ill and could no longer pursue his dreams but entrusted Kenshirou to do it for him and himself.

The day came when Kenshirou turned to a life of crime with the crooks amongst Rukongai so he could get medicine for his father without him knowing of Kenshirou’s crimes. But the word spread further than he thought.

A squad member of the 13 squads came and realized his power and immediately called upon him to bring him into the academy and begin his training. His final goodbye to his father was nothing Kenshirou had expected. His father was ashamed. Ashamed that he got into soul academy by becoming a crook.

o.k ^^ well now the only thing i see that needs fixing is your history part; the last part should be about the disappearance not a ceremony. He takes the lieutenant spot after Renji Abarai went missing in the phenomenon. So just fix that part up and it will be good to go ^^
