~Personality~

Personality: Tamashi is a immature being most of the time, acting as if he were only ten. Though when engaged in any form of conflict he shows his true years and becomes quite feirce. Is quite open and freindly, though has his moments of cruelty, where he treats anyone like scum, worse then what they really are, no matter how important to him they are. When not in one of these moods he will protect any one he cares for, and tries his hardest to make people happy, sometimes to the point where he himself is miserable.

Quirks: An inability to sit still, always needs to be on he move doing something

History: As a human Tamashi was a soldier, not one of any notable rank, merely a common foot soldier, though he was recognized for his excellent swordsmanship. His death occurred on a special stealth mission, where he and three of his companions were to secretly capture a strategic point of great value. Somehow word of the attack got out and an ambushed had been prepared for the four men. Tamashi got all his men safely out, though he had suffered a fatal wound, and he died directly after returning to his commander.

After his death Tamashi's soul didn't move on, it remained in the area, trying to aid in the success of the war, not realizing he was dead. He stayed until after every one else he knew died, and the war was lost, to his great horror and shame. It was now that he realized that he had died, and he then met a hollow, and his first shinigami.

The massive beast had been stalking Tamashi without him noticing, due to his current state of panic and despair, and was about to kill him, but a shinigami had been stalking that hollow, and attacked it as it tried to kill Tamashi. The shinigami managed to defeat the creature and save Tamashi. The shinigami told him much about what ad happened to him, as well as what it was that had attacked him.

Tamashi never found out who it was that saved him, but he has well known, as the second division lieutenant. The shinigami used Konso on Tamashi and sent him on to the soul society, for although he had been a soldier, he had been a kind man who only followed his orders.

When he arrived in the soul society he sought out the seireitei in order to once again become a soldier, in this case to become a shinigami, like the man who saved him. He was able to enter the academy and being the quick learner that he was flew through it and graduated it after his first six years there. He then took his place amongst his fellow shinigami as a part of the second division.

Quickly showing much promise through the various tasks he was assigned, he rose to become the third seat, and as such the head of the detention unit. Since then he has continued to preform the duties necessary of him to full expectations, earning him much respect among his fellows.

~Shikai Techniques/Abilities~

Name of abilty/technique: Friction manipulation
Description: The ability to create and control mass amounts of friction wherever he wants, in a hundred and fifty meter radius around himself, as well as anywhere along his line of sight. If he is unable to see the area of effect increases to four hundred meters. It can't be countered as in no one can just flat out stop it, anyone of a higher power level will be able to decrease it effectiveness, depending on how much more powerful they are, but they will never be fully able to stop it.

Friction by itself creates heat from the rubbing of any two objects together. About twenty degrees higher, or when used ONLY on water, enough to boil it.

With the limited heat increase the most damage that could be caused is major heart burn, but no permanent damage, nothing lethal, from the heat.

Depending on the rank of the opponent, the speed at which it is going and how much room is between himself and the attack. At max it will slow an attack three quarters of it's original speed, to anyone lower than himself, fifty to someone the same rank, and twenty five for anyone above him.

Similar to the speed boost, if used on himself doubles previous speed, on some one lower triples, someone the same rank doubles, someone higher, fifty percent increase in speed.

Description: The ability to have the blade lengthen up to five times it's original released length. IT's original length is six feet, so it's maximum length is 30 feet. As well this lengthened area is able to move as fluidly as a snake, and only doubles the weight of the blade. The blade extends around fifty Km/h.

When you mean you can control mass amounts of frictions. What is the limit to the amount you can control? Can this be countered by someone of a higher rank/power? How does the area increase when he is unable the area of effect?. Can you gives some examples on how this ability would be used? And how it can’t be used?

How long is the blade? What is it’s max. length? How fast does it extends? Does it loses some of it’s durability when it extends?

He simple controls friction, With no limits to how much, but only so far around himself, as stated. No, it can't be 'countered' by someone of a higher power, though they will have an easier time in dealing with it then someone of a lower rank would. My words must have mislead you, the area of effect increases when he is unable to see, as in when he has no line of sight his abilities stretch to cover more are, instead of going forever so long as he can see. It can be used to slow attack movements, speed up attacks, or movement speed. Can be used to create massive amounts of heat, in the form of steam as well as temperature increase, usable for hiding, can be used to fight as well, by rubbing parts of the body together, burning muscle tissue, causing cuts, stab wounds, etc...


The sword in it's released form is six feet long, maxing out at thirty feet. It extends instantly. It looses no durability.

I won’t allow it to be extended instantly for that’s a auto-hit. Either had a speed in which it travels or remove it.

I really don't see how this is related to the ability to manipulate friction, but I have seem more unrelated techniques being approved before...

May you please give this a little better background-story? Like how he developed it? Not something major, but just something that gives the reader a hint of how his skill with this ability is currently and how it can be if he develops it further.

Tamashi got into an argument with a random shinigami, whom he had never met before. It got so intense that his riatsu went out of control for a second, and his eyes shifted, and his vision was altered, allowing him to see right through the clothing of the female he had been arguing with. Naturally he passed out, having not in any way expected it. Now he can at will cause it to happen, though he can not see through any type of metal, at least not yet.
