CAPTAIN'S MEETING NUMERO UNO!

Solomon arrived shortly after, wearing his usual attire of black jeans, a white tee-shirt and a short black leather vest. He never wore his hayori or kimono, he hated dress codes. On his lower back was Chaos, and on his right hip was order. The elder shinigami looked at the captian of the first division without emotion as he leaned on a wall. He had recieved the message to come to the first captians meeting sine he had gotten his position. Which was assigned to him as he was the most capable. He did not know who though, he just got a message saying he got it. If the person knew of his gifts it was amazing, as he was also glad no one knew of his ability with kido. Though undoubtably he had more experiance than any other shinigami.

The previous day Kira had gotten a hell butterfly from the head captain about a meeting this morning. Kira let a small sigh as he sat at his desk with a stack of paperwork in front of him. He still had quiet a few to do , but the meeting came first. After signing one last paper he stood up from his desk and headed for the door. As he exited his room he got a bow from a seat officer who held some paper work out to him." Please put if on my desk" he told the now disappointed looking eighth seat. As soon as the women passed him he flash stepped to the 1st squad barracks. Since he was working he wore his usually shingami attire with his long sleeved captains haori. On the back the haori there was third squad symbol and the inside was lined with light blue. As as he arrived at the meeting hall some seat officer opened the door for him. Inside the room was already two captains. Kira bowed to the them respectively and took his place in line waiting for the meeting to begin.

Sebastian let out a sigh as he stared at his reflection in the water that rested in the glass before him. The previous night, Sebastian had received a hell butterfly from the first division, it was about a meeting. Now early in the day Sebastian was just getting ready, he was wearing his normal shinigami attire, only this time he barrowed his brothers style, and tapped off his legs from the knee down, Sebastian found this to be a good move, as it allowed him to move easily. The captain of the fifth division slipped on his haori and stepped out of his room and greeted the beautiful day with a smile.

Sebastian greeted the officers and shinigami of his division as he passed them by on his way out of the barracks. The captain was in no hurry, he would under most circumstances have rushed to the meeting but, today he was going to take things slow. After a few minutes, Sebastian reached the division one barracks and was escorted to the meeting room. Upon his entry, Sebastian gave a brief look to the two captains that had arrived before him, he attention finally shifting to the captain commander “good morning Captain Commander.” he said as he took his place.

Tenrai was informed of the Captains Meeting the day before hand and he thought to himself, *Hmm this is the first captains meeting in awhile...And pretty much one of my first meetings ever..I havent really met the other captains or the Captain Commander himself...this might be interesting*, he said as he looked back onto his desk finishing what little work he had left. The next day was the day of the meeting and Tenrai was up and ready to meet his fellow captains. He adjusted his haori with the 2nd division symbol on the back and then in an instant disappeared from his barracks, appearing in the division one barracks soon later. He could sense that others had already made it as he approached. He entered the room and took his place in line bowing to the others, but not yet speaking.

To say that Lightning was not in the best of moods would have been quite the understatement, lately she had been dealing with an explosion of cases dealing with shinigami of all ranks deciding to take a frolic in the Human World. So much had changed since her time last serving the 6th divsion, was it the shinigami getting bolder? or was it them getting more ignorant? Either way it was beginning to royally piss the young captain off. She had gotten little sleep and the little that she had gotten was not of a good quality due to the hot nights lately. To make matters worse she had just gotten word of yet more shinigami's deciding to go to the human world on their time off duty, she would soon have to talk to the Captain Commander regarding this issue. The new recruits were out of control, they had nw respect for the rules and it was beginning to become too much for the captain of the 6th division to deal with. Today just had to be the day of the captain's meeting didn't it? Of course it did why not have it on a day that Lightning felt grumpy enough to hit someone for staring at her.

Walking through the halls towards the captain's assembly hall Lightning's haori was billowing behind her in the wind her fast pace created, and her hard footsteps echoed throughout the silence. Not only had she had to deal with a case this morning but she was now almost running late for the meeting, something she did not like in the slightest. As she entered the hall it became apparent that she was not as late as she thought she was, ignoring the presence of the others she took a seat in her assigned spot and crossed her legs and arms, her gaze focusing on the table. To others it would soon be apparent that she was tired, hungry and overworked, if her body language did not give it away then her reaction to anyone mentioning her mood would soon cop it.

The night before had been hellish. There had been too many different injuries and other duties to attend to, and she had been up for much to long doing paper work, so the hell butterfly that had arrived to tell her of the meeting the next morning it didn't make her evening any better. Giving a sigh as she turned in, she was up again with the dawn, to assist with another patient who had taken a turn for the worse. The meeting could rot in hell for all she cared at the moment. Her patients came first.

Sitting at the desk in her office for a moment before she left for her meeting, she looks at the Haori hanging on the back of her door. It had been Unohana's, and Mina didn't want to wear it. But if she was actually going to be a captain, it was time to don it. No one could tell her not to wear it, but at the same time, no one could tell her to wear it except for the Captain Commander. A glare passed over her face for a moment, and then realized that if she didn't get a move on, she'd be late. A sigh passed her lips as she got up and walked over to the haori. Taking it down, she swings it on, and then heads out. If Kenji wasn't there, she might actually be able to concentrate.

Arriving, she notices Lightning enter just before her. Sliding in the door shortly after the angry woman, she takes her spot between Tenrai and Lightning, kneeling on her mat on the floor. If anyone had anything to say about it, she was going to snap. She hadn't had much sleep, and she physically exhausted. "Good morning Hiyro-sotaichou." she said softly.

Yachiru had just been appointed the new thirteenth division captain and just heard of the meeting taking place. At first, she wasn't sure if she should go or not, but eventually decided to attend. She may be a new captain, but she weas still a captain. She threw her hapri on over Kenpachi's and headed towards the ichibantai. She couldn't remember the last time she had been to the place, but knew it was with Kenpachi. She smiled and skipped her was towasrd the assembly hall, suprised at the fact that she didn't get lost. Upon reaching the door, she knocked twice before entering. She noticed that six captains were already present, seven including the sotaicho. She greeted them all with their own nickname. Hello, Old man, Zu-Zu, Ten-sama, Sebby, Mina-Mina, and.... She paused just before greeting Lightning. She felt a dark dark sensation coming from her. It made her shudder. She could tell Lightning was in a very bad mood and she didn't want to make it worse by calling her by her nickname that she made for her. ...and...Lightning-sama.. She giggled and lightly sighed before turning towards the sotaicho. She bowed respectfully before greeting him as well. Greetings, Ro-Ro Sotaicho. After the "formalities" were done. She took her place with the rest of the captains, kneeling on the mat at the very end of the line wondering how they'd react to her presence there. While waiting on the meeting to begin, she started counting on her fingers, seeing who was there and who wasn't. She counted Hiyro of the first division, Tenrai of the second, Izuru of the third, Mina of the fourth, Sebastian of the fifth, Lightning of the sixth, Solomon of the eleventh, and herself for the thirteenth. She tallied a bit on her fingers, quickly realizing that the seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and twelfth division captains were still absent. She wondered if Hiyro would wait for them or start without them. Her mind was racing. She was still too excited after achieving her rank. She sat and fidgited with her bubblegum pink tresses, trying to keep still while she waited.

Shuhei woke up with a start and almost fell out of bed when one of his officers had come into his quarters to wake him up. At first he was dazed and rubbed his forehead trying to collect his thoughts before noticing the slightly panicked officer mumbling about a meeting. At that mention he pulled the officer closer and said 'Wait, hold on, whats the time now?!?' Starting to get worried himself, he realized now that this was the first captains meeting with the new Captain Commander, who he had yet to meet. And as it turned out .... he was going to be quite late. He then leapt out of bed and went to grab his haori and zanpakuto before noticing he was in fact fully dressed, and then the memories of last night slowly came back to him. He had been doing paperwork when the hell butterfly informed of the meeting the following day, before had to rush out and help some unseated officers with a bit of trouble in Rukongai. However it was so late by the time he had got back to his Division that he had in fact, fallen asleep straight away.

And so, overslept and was about to make a terrible first impression on his new Captain Commander. So he rushed out and thanked the officer for waking him up when he did, and shunpo'd as quickly as he could to get to the 1st Divisions barracks before it was too late. He managed to dodge most of the other Shinigami that he nearly ran into, causing quite a bit of confusion as he sped past. But he managed to make it to the barracks quite quickly, but also, extremely out of breath. He leaned on the wall just outside the meeting room for captains catching his breath and sorting out his crumpled and creased clothes, before opening the door. As he walked in he noticed a large majority of the captains were already there, so he quickly made his way to his position and nodded to a few of the captains, however avoided the glare that Lightning had in her eye. He then turned to the Captain Commander Hiyro and said 'Apologies Captain, i had some er ... Business that i had some officers that i needed to help out' After all, it wasn't a complete lie.

Hanako really didn't want to go to this meeting. When the hell butterfly had come to her last night, she had been in the middle of an experiment. She hadn't slept a wink because she had lost track of time while doing her experiment. So her feet were dragging as she walked towards the first Division area. She needed to get there, and she still didn't want to go. It was such a waste of her time right now....But regardless, she continued her way to the Captain's meeting area.

She entered the room and bowed to the Captain commander. "I'm sorry for being late, I was conducting an experiment." she said softly before she headed to her spot.

Shiro was glad he was promted to a higher rank again even thought it wasn't his original one. Sighing slightly he entered the vice captain office and found a note on his desk. It was from the current captain of sqaud ten and it read:

Dear Hitsugaya Fukutaichou,

I am unable to attend the current captains meeting today for personal reasons.
Please attend in my place and inform me what happend the next time you see me.

Sincerly , Rina Taichou

P.s : Give this note to the head captain so, he knows you are subbing for me. the meet is starting soon.

Toshiro made a face at the note and stuffed into his shirt before flashing stepping to the 1st divsion barracks. The guards gave him a look when he arrived but they let him in anyway. Keeping silent he enetered the room and holded the note up to the head captain long enough for him to read it. " I m sitting in for Rina Taichou today sorry im late i just recived her letter" He told the red headed captain a stern voice , before taking his spot in line. As soon as he reached the spot he put his hands in front his chest with each hand in the oppsite sleeve.

Sakura walked towards the capitans meeting room, since there was no captian in her division, she had to go. she felt wired walking towards the door, she wasn't a captian yet but she was attending the meeting anyway. She was almsot done in her bankai traning so that could be ant day now. Sakura stood infront of the door, she took in a deep breath before knocking on the dorr, she was already late and wasn't sure if she should just walk in and join or knock on the dorr and wait until she was welcomed in.

Solomon did not mean to be rude, when he entered in such a informal manner. He was not used to such appearences and, though he will not apologize, hoped the Captain understood. The arrival of teh other captians made him care little. Some of them were just young kids, who with no doubts rightfully earned their ranks, but in Solomons eyes, did not have the raw experiance that many others did. Many others he had nothing against, he just cared nothing for. Then when the luitenants showed he hoped that their captians 100% could not make it.

Still, after they all showed and Hiryo spoke Solomon did have a question. He has wondered this many times, and found suitabe why one like him got the rank of captain. One who specifically denied the rank multiple times. So he rose his back off the wall and stepped forward two paces, speaking clearly with his raw Irish/Russian tone which contained no emotion.

" Captian Commmander, I have been wondering since I attained this position... Why me. No doubtedly you would have known that Yamamoto had asked me time again to have this rank and that I had refused. If you knew that I usually said no, then why ask one like me and not another who would jump on the position. "

After he had arrived many of the other captains came next. One in particular that caught his was the 13th division captain yaichiru. In his day as vice captain she too was a vice captain. He had noticed he growth , but what peeked he eyebrow was that she had called him Zu Zu. It sounded kind of like pet them , but he kept his mouth shut.After he more captains arrived including two vice captains that were subbing for their captains. Izuru was surprised to see Toshiro as a vice captain , but that was probably because he had been missing for a while.Only a moment after the captains words and the late attendee arrival the 11th division captain spoke. Kira looked at him slightly when he spoke. For some reason the man asked what he had gotten his position. Looking forward he wondered why he had asked that. When the head captain asked if anyone had any issues , the blond didn't think thats what he meant by it.Kira sighed slightly to himself before fixing his blue lined haori slightly. As he thought about he also wondered why the head captain had given him the spot. But , he deiced not to ask because the meeting was not about why all the captain got their ranks.

Sebastian sat quietly in his spot, and only motioned his head to the door, as each captain filed in after him. The first thing he took note of was the obvious distraught on Lightning’s face when she entered the meeting room. The only other thing he took note of and acknowledged was the nickname that Yaichiru greeted him with as she entered the room. He gave the young female captain a smile and polite bow of the head as she took her spot.

When the captain commander opened the floor for the captain’s to bring up any issues, Sebastian could think of any issues he had, that he couldn’t deal with personally, he then thought about other possible problems but nothing really came to mind. His attention was also redirected when a few vice captain’s entered the meeting room, mostly likely, they were subbing for their captains.

The young captain’s attention seemed to be everywhere as it bounced from one person to another, finally landing on the captain of the eleventh division, who was questioning, why he had received the rank, despite numerous refusals. *what an odd question to bring up, at a time like this.* Sebastian thought.

At first Tenrai just looked down, only peeking upwards to recognize and quickly acknowlegde the other people who had entered the room. He smiled slightly recognizing some faces but when the Captain Commander opened the floor for the captains to discuss any issues, he mood turned serious again. Tenrai at the moment didnt have anything specific to bring up however he was willing to give his opinion on any issue that did arise. When the captain spoke about why he attained his rank, Tenrai wondered why he would ask such a question...he also decided it wasnt him to should answer or even respond to it. Tenrai was also one of the younger and newer captains so he wasnt exactly sure he was ready to just voice his opionions. So he decided the best thing to do right now is just listen and either speak when the topic seemed broader, or if he was personally address.

Lightnign sat silently in her place as her fellow captains and a few lieutenants entered the meeting chambers, she found it truly disheartening that there was captains out there that were not attending the meeting. Lightning herself would never have missed such a thing, not even if sick or injured severely....a captain's job was to attend to the duties and responsibilities that went with the rank. She sat with her eyes closed and her head lowered as the meeting hall filled with the participants, greeted by Yachiru the newly appointed captain of the 13th division Lightning raised her head and opened her eyes as she acknowledged the greeting. "Kusajishi-taicho" Lightning eyes focused on the empty spot next to her, it seemed that the 7th division representative/captain was the last to arrive. Sighing to herself Lightning prepared for the meeting ahead, no doubt it would be an unorganised event with so many unexperienced faces within the room.

Lightning had a couple of issues to raise with the captain commander when the time arrived, firstly she had the issue of the shinigami running wild in the human world as they pleased and secondly the issue of the Rukongai district that Cloud had mentioned to her. She would take the opportunity to raise the issue in a meeting of the captains for his sake as well of those of the districts, she was sure that Cloud would appreciate the effort. Lightning folded her arms tighter as Solomon of the 11th division asked a question that she never thought would be asked, fighting the urge to speak up and tell him that if he didn't want the rank to step down Lightning remained silent.

She would raise the issues she had on her mind when the floor became free once more, if there was something she knew it was not to interrupt in a meeting.

Mina didn't want to be rude. But her lack of sleep, combined with Solomon's stupid question, just sent her slightly over the edge of annoyance. Rubbing her hands over her face, she stands up to her full height, which didn't amount to much in comparission to Solomon. But stand up she did, and she looked at Solomon with a look filled with annoyance. "Solomon. You were chosen, because you have Bankai. You were chosen because you were the only one qualified at the time. You can't escape the duty any more then the rest of us can. We are all qualified for our jobs, and so are you. Whether or not you want it."

Hanako glanced over at her long time friend. The woman must be tired if she was this close to loosing it on another captain. "Mina-san...." She said softly, wanting to go over to her friend, but would not break ranks here in the meeting. This meeting was such a bad idea....she should have sent her Vice Captain to it.

Yachiru noticed the other captains, and a couple representitives for certain squads now showing up. She continued to tally up on her fingers until only the Captain of Squad Seven was missing. Yachiru then heard the Sotaicho speak. He asked if anyone had an issue to address. She throught for a moment, bringing her left thumb to her lips and gently nibbling on it. She heard Solomon speak up first, his words making her giggle. Mina was quick to answer his question for him, Yachiru soon piping up to speak her mind on the matter. You're silly, Old Man. Why ask such a stupid question? Ken-chan would never question his Captaincy. He'd accept his rank with pride. Perhaps Ken-chan is the only TRUE captain of the Juichibantai. Yachiru smiled innocently, seeing her words as a harmless comment. She then swatted her forehead with her left hand. She remembered that she had something to ask Hiyro involving Kenpachi. Yachiru's left hand quickly shot in the air and waved frantically like a know-it-all child waiting to be called on by a teacher. Oh! Oh! Ro-Ro Sotaicho! I have a requeeeest!! Ken-chan finally came back! But he has no place to stay...Can he live in the Thirteenth Division barracks with me? Pretty pleeeeease?! Yachiru pursed her bottom lip in a cute little pout, hoping to persuade the Sotaichi to allow her to keep Kenpachi at her division. She didn't want to be separated from him again. She'd do anything to keep him this time.

Shuhei stayed in place silently after entering and watched as a couple of lieutenants entered after he had arrived, taking the place of their captains for the meeting, who were otherwise disposed. He hoped that for their sakes they had good enough reasons to miss the meeting, not because of his reactions to them but there some among the captains that would likely look down upon this behavior, most notably Lightning who was extremely dedicated to her position. However Shuhei was also not the type to miss a meeting, especially the first with a new Captain Commander. It was just his bad luck that a problem had arisen the night beforehand and had almost missed the meeting.

Then when the floor had opened up to discussion he flicked his eyes around the other captains to see if anyone else had issues, and sure enough someone started up the meeting, Solomon. The issue he had raised however, was a strange one, the legitimacy of his Captainship. Shuhei made a small sighing sound and leaned back slightly thinking to himself 'Why on earth is he bringing something like this up? If he didnt want the position he shouldn't have taken it. Let it go already. There are more important matters to be dealt with.' Although as he thought about talking his mind Mina interrupted and had a small rant at Solomon herself. Shuhei looked over at her and was glad she had, although she did look a bit frightening afterwards.

And then of course, Yachiru had a go in her own little way, albeit a lot less frightening and lacking the same amount of authority. He smiled as he looked over her as she spoke of her own problems. It was nice to see such a care free and happy captain in times like these, although he began to feel a bit concerned with how she might deal with her division. 'But if she wasn't suitable for a captain, Hiyro never would have chosen her i guess.' He thought to himself as she finished. He had a couple of issues of his own but he would wait untill the more important dealings had been taken of first.

The icey captain let go a small sigh as he continued to stand there with his arms crossed. When the head captain open the floor to issues a man the young male had never met spoke. The man's words annoyed the white haired boy and he made a annoyed face. Why is this asking this sort of question? What a moron. Shiro said angrily to himself wondering what idiot questioned there rank like that. He desperately wanted to say something about it to the man. But , two things stopped him from doing so. One was of course his current rank compared to the others in the room. The other was because the fourth division captain and had said something first. Shiro looked to her very slightly and then back forward. The raven haired girl had said it in a prefect way so, he continued to say nothing.

Sighing slightly he heard a more useless mater being brought up by the 13th division captain. It was slight pressing , because the once missing Kenpachi had reappeared again after disappearing for a while like he did. But , still there were others things that should probably be addressed first. Like what was going on in the human world and with the arrancar and espada in hueco mundo. " I think we should take about pressing dangers that are presenting themselves." He finally said a serious tone to the group.

Sakura stood there listing to a man complaing about his rank. What was this? Sakura thought these meetings were about ways to improve the place and set new laws, not ask why I am captain? Sakura ignored the coments, she was here since there was no captain and she will have to get used to this sine she will be the captain soon. But she could feel herself zoning out of the conversation and thinking about other things. She snapped back after she heard the white haired kid had said. At last, something that is worth discussing.

Cloud had just came from a mission in Rukongai to exterminate some low level hollows with a patrol of shinigamis from the 7th division, he went himself with them to observe and watch how high their skills have achieved but he was disappointed by the weak kind of skills they possessed. Just as he entered the 7th division, he got a message from a hell butterfly that mentioned that he should head quickly to a Captains meeting at the Captain's Assembly Hall in the first division instead of his captain. He felt a shiver at the back of his neck, he had never entered one. He felt excited and at the same time slightly afraid, he was going to meet and see all the other captains, he didn't know what they looked like or actually treated other low ranks like. He was then interrupted from his thoughts when he snapped and panicked to know that the meeting had already started from about 20 minutes. He quickly washed his face and hands that were filled with blood from the mission and although he was slightly tired he had no other way but to flash step till he reached there.

When he reached there it was the first time for him to enter the first division, the place from the inside was totally different from the 7th division. It was much bigger and you could feel the classic touch in the decoration. He had no time to wonder around in amusement. He quickly made his way to the Hall where all the captains should be found, knocked on the door then entered. As soon as he entered he scattered with his eyes to examine the faces of the captains there. There weren’t any of the standing captains familiar to him except Lightning, he had known he would see her there since she was captain of the 6th division. Although he knew she would be surprised to see him, in the middle stood the Captain Commander. He was a young man. Totally different from the image Cloud had for the guy. He imagined the Captain Commander to be a really fat bold old man with tiny eyes. But the man in front of him now was somehow of Cloud's age. He found that rather interesting for a guy like him to reach Captain Commander that meant it wasn't linked with age rather than ability. He found now his spot to stand in was in the order of the divisions next to Lightning.

He slowly made his way beside her as he stood there and thought now of apologizing for coming late "Accept my humble apology, Captain Commander. I received the message rather a bit late. " He said in a low tone as he leaned with his head in respect then stood back in his place silently to see how this meeting might result in.
