CAPTAIN'S MEETING NUMERO UNO!

Solomon nodded at everything said. He was glad someone finally answered from all his questions. He knew his division and now that he had the position he accepted the power and responsibility. " No need to find another. I will take the position with vigor. " He stepped back and leaned against the wall once again and was now content to listen. He did itch to do some fighting though, his blades itched for battle. As soon as this meeting was over he would post up a battle royal between all his division members. No lethal weapons, no abilities. Just a bunch of guys wailing on each other for three days.

Alot the captain all seemed rather tense about the man's question. But, Kira was surprised to see how nice and calm the head captain was about it. He spoke which such kindness unlike the previous head captain. The one from his days as vice captain spoke with more stern. This one didn't seemed at stern as old man yamamoto was. The previous captain would also never let and person who had left stay in the barracks. If he would have he found and arrest as soon as it was mentioned despite yarchiru's pleas. Kira could tell him was going to like this captain better. After the head captain agree with the 4th division captain and to yarchirus request the door creaked open again. The blond captain's blue eyes eyes turned to look at it slightly and saw another person came to the meeting late. Shortly after the captain who question his rank apologized and said there was no need to replace. Looking back forward again he sighed softly to himself in a low tone as he waited for the meeting to office begin. He really had no business talking in personal affairs but , issue he would probably be able to put his insight into.

Sebastian had been doing much of nothing since entering the meeting room, he only looked around at the other captains, and wondered when the real meeting was going to start. For the most part, this meeting had been pretty lax, and not much had been brought up, except for the 11th division captain question his rank, and then accepting it when presented a reason.

Sebastian had remained quite, but he was busy thinking about the security of his vice captain, Rukia had been sent on patrol of the human world, due to the absence of shinigami. It was odd to think of such things at a time like this, soul society had been turned on it’s head, so it was only natural to be doing things that best way possible. Perhaps it was time to make a change “Sir, I have a question. With the absence of so many shinigami, shouldn’t we cancel all patrols for now, until we can determine the cause of the disappearances? Also I believe we should stop all patrols of the living world, I’m sure the vizards are more than capable of protecting the town by themselves.”

Tenrai looked up and around at all those who had entered the room and then looked back down closing his eyes waiting for the real dicussion to start. He looked up as Sebastian mentioned cancelling patrols in the world of the living. "I dont completely agree with you there Sebastian-sama, you see we should at all times have some time of patrol team in the world of the living to make sure that everything runs smoothly there. I mean no disrespect to the Vizards when I say this but can we really trust them which watching over the town? They only intervened last time really because Ichigo was their ally and they were all in danger...plus they had something against Aizen as well. If other matters occur they might not get as involved as they did before. Also what if they couldnt protect the town...how would we know the help them if there was no patrol? At the very least there should be something..an ambassdor between us...someone to keep contact between the groups.", Tenrai said. He seemed very calm when he spoke and he in no way tried to show any disrespect to Sebastian or anyone else. He had given his input and if needed he would defend his decision...

Lightning had not been to a meeting of the captains in what felt like an extremely long time, the matters that had so far had been menial. Talking about residency arrangements and stroking the pride of someone that sought to be re assured of the choice that was made in making him captain were not things she was used to discussing. She had remained silent so far, as the captain commander answered the round of questions thrown at him like water balloons on a hot summers day. But a familiar voice snapped her from her thoughts, she knew who it was without having to set her eyes on his face. She also knew that if he was here then it meant he was filling in for his captain in this meeting and she also knew just how much it would have been meaning to him to be in the captain’s assembly room. Cloud aspired to become a captain one day and she knew that the experience of being in a meeting before that time in his life would be a cherished and valuable experience, she only wished that the meeting was more exciting for him then it currently had been for her.

As he took his place next to her in the seating arrangement Lightning turned her head ever so slightly to face him and bowed it slightly. It was not an out of place gesture and would not cause those around them to wonder but yet it held special meaning, it was her way of saying congratulations on being chosen to represent your division. Not that she particularly cared in the slightest even if the others around her did seem to wonder about why her pissed off aura seemed to fade as he entered the room, frankly it was none of their concern and she was certain that they would know better then to raise such a frivolous issue in a captain’s meeting…..or at least she hoped they knew better.

As Sebastian raised an interesting idea he found it just as soon being shot down by a fellow captain, this was more like the meetings she knew. A bloody battle of deliberation, she could see why Sebastian would think that cancelling patrols would make sense and she could see why Tenrai thought that relying on the Vizards to protect Karakura alone was a poor idea. But her reasoning on the situation was not playing on either of those points, she did not see the event as something that was after the Gotei 13 alone. Breaking the silence she had held so far Lightning spoke in her usual calm and slightly cold manner. “Both points are valid for different reasons, however I do not believe that cancelling the patrols will bring us much security. The event took shinigami from all over, the human world, the seireitei and the districts of Rukongai. We are not the only ones suffering losses in our numbers, families have been decimated as well. If it would take those from any realm then what would cancelling our patrols do? The fact alone that there was no discrimination in it’s victims means that whatever it was it was not focused on officers alone and forgetting that fact could prove to be a hindrance in our investigation.”

Lightning knew slightly more than perhaps most captains knew on the matter, not because she was privileged to more information but because she had experienced something on the night of the phenomenon. Nothing that could serve as concrete evidence but it was enough to give her intuition some ideas on the matter.

Mina rubbed her face while she listened to the meeting actually get into full swing. No acknowledgment was given to her friend's Vice Captain, Cloud. "Not to be disrepectful Lightning-san, but that investigation isn't what we need to worry about right now. How do we know if the Espada were affected by this? We don't, and unless we sent in a group to Heuco Mundo to find out, we're left with a force that could try to kill us. I personally think it's time you let it go, and start to really work on being the Captain for the Sixth Division. You're no longer just a Royal Guard.

"As to removing the patrols Sebastian, there aren't many vizards, and they might not even be in the Town. Personally I don't really feel the need to trust them with the entire defense. There is what? Maybe 7 of them? They may have been Captain level at one point, but we can not disregard out duty to the souls of the real world either. We have to bring them here to the Soul Society." Mina said softly, her arms crossed, as she regarded the others. It was not the time to be arguing about this kind of thing....Most of the Captains here were tired, and not willing to be here.

Hanako listened, and felt no need to comment. After all, she would rather be trying to figure out the mess of experiments and results that Mayuri had left behind, but she couldn't just let her brother go in her place. Mina wouldn't have been happy with her. Battle's didn't particularly interest her, and neither did planning for them. Her Division was more dedicated to research then anything else anyway.

Yachiru listened intently, not really having much to say now. Everyone else seemed to say what she was thinking anyway. She simply smiled and sat in her spot, quietly humming to herself while everyodne seemed to discuss the patrols and something about the Espada. Yachiru shuddered at the mentioning of those brutes. Monster...the lot of them. She could remember her last encounter with the creatures. She let out a faint whimper and just sat there, waiting until she had a say in something.

(OOC: keep in mind the espada are thought to have been defeated and decimated, just thought i would throw that in there so people know why it hasn't been a huge thing on their minds. The event is when everyone will realise that the espada is alive and kicking. ^^)

Shuhei looked around and watched as the meeting finally began to start properly and a more important topic was brought to hand. At first he stayed quiet to watch how the argument unfolded and either nodded his head slightly in agreement or either looked slightly puzzled and confused when he didnt entirely agree with another captains ideas. However after the 4th Division captain Mina replied what seemed slightly sharply back at Lighting, he sighed and bowed his head as he knew he would now have to get into the conversation. He had his own opinions after all and felt that they should be heard.

So he raised his head and spoke in a loud clear voice so that the other captains could hear him. 'Everyone is right in their own way here and trying to argue who might have the best idea is just pointless and is going to drag this meeting on for forever, and then we'll never get anything done. Truth is we cant afford to cancel patrols in the world of the living in this situation as hollows may have noticed people missing and then try and act upon that. Our patrols are critical to protecting the humans in that world. And although there are vizards there, i doubt even if they were captains, they might not be able to deal with sheer numbers with brute strength and their limited resources. However we will also need to strengthen our forces here in the Seireitei. After all, just because the current Espada fell with Aizen, we cant be certain that other hollows wont have similar ideas. But as long as a head figure doesnt turn up, that should discourage any hollow arrancars from trying anything.'

'Now moving onto the case about the .... event .... ' He took a small pause and looked over to Lighting. Out of everyone she seemed the most well informed person on this matter. And how that is Shuhei didnt know and didnt really care. He wanted the situation to be dealt with quickly, the cause found and dealt with, and all those missing returned. 'I dont know what happened, or why, but it would be a good idea to carry on investigating the matter. If we did find the cause of it, we may be able to find those who went missing, along with being able to prevent this type of phenomenon from ever occurring again! Personally the priority of these matters shouldnt matter, but should be done quickly to ensure that the Seireitei and the world of the living can be stable, for a while anyway.'

Toshiro sighed softly to himself and was glad they were finally talking about something worth discuss. Rank was not an important matter to discuss with recent happenings. Keeping his arms crossed he listened to some of the captains bicker about another no brainier. Some seemed to think it was wise to take the shinigami off patrol duty in the human world and trust the vizard to handle it. Shiro didn’t like that idea for more that one reason. The first being that there wasn’t enough Vizards to get every single hollow that showed up in the human world. Next , he wasn’t sure if they could really trust them.

Hearing a couple captains agree with this eased him slightly. But, he felt he need to say something to , and get the head captain to make the right choice. " I agree with Hisagi Taichou and all those opposed to this matter" the white haired boy began in stern voice. " I don't think we should stop patrolling in the human world either. How do we know if we can even trust the vizards. There isn’t even enough of them to patrol the whole human world ,as far as we know. Even if its just a few less than usual there should still be some shinigami patrolling there" the boy add with some slight annoyance filling his voice.

The atmosphere in the room had started to become tensed even though Cloud had just entered; he could feel overflowing tension coming from everyone. It was as if each Captain present here in the room is waiting on a mistake for the other. This was something Cloud didn't feel comfortable with. He noticed Lightning bow her head slightly to him in what he understood to be a way to congratulate him on his presence here as he replied to that action with a smile friendly smile. He then was caught off Lightning to turn his calm gaze at the Captain Commander who seemed to be welcoming him to the meeting. This was quite odd; Cloud had thought that the Captain Commander was somehow cruel. It seems looks can be deceiving.

Anyway, at first he was lost in the discussion he didn't know what they were talking about until Sebastian brought up the talk about the patrols found in the living world and how he wanted to remove them until things were better. Cloud had read some lately reports regarding the matter and he thought that it couldn't be applied…Some of the other Captains were right. The Vizards couldn't be trusted into this; it was Soul Society's responsibility. But he noticed something odd from a female Captain who he didn’t know but from the position she was standing at she seemed to be the 4th division Captain. She appeared to be talking towards Lightning in a sharp way, it wasn't bothering Cloud in any way, he knew that Lightning was up to the talk but the odd thing lied in why weren't all these Captains agreed together on same basics.

He didn't want to gain the trouble of thinking about it as he also didn't want to have anything to do with the topic put at hand. He had his own proposal to put up to the talk. "If you may excuse me" he called out in a calm way towards the Captain-Commander as he felt a little awkward to have the others looking at him. "I wanted to shift the discussion to a whole different field... A field that I think is very important, it’s the reason why I think we are all here" he continued as he looked now at all the other captains from around him.

"The life in Rukongai has to be taken into close eye by the Society, we unfortunately forget about the poor souls found there where a lot of them die out of hunger, poverty, illness even some get eaten by hollows. And despite all that, we in the end take from those hopeless souls some and enroll them here in the academy and they become afterwards Captains and Vice-Captains" his voice was clear and ringing in the place as he hoped that the message was delivered
