This is for Lin and Katsu

Today it was valentine's day and Katsu was forced to go on a date with someone he had never seen in his whole life. They Knew this person and made her go on this date thing. He totally didn't want to but he did not want to keep that girl waiting for nothing. At least he hoped it was a girl. He would not be surprised if he was gonna be stuck with some weird guy... His friends always joked around. "ugh why..." Katsu mumbled and stood up as he saw it was time to meet this person. Leaving the warehouse walking on the empty streets. It was awful quiet today. Everyone must be buzzy with other things.

The sun was shining its light on the city. Katsu walked to the place they where supposed to meet. He hoped he did not come all this way for nothing. Also hoping this day would gone by fast. When he had arrived at the meeting place he looked slightly confused as he wondered what he was gonna say to this girl. He had never really gone on a date. It was not really his thing. He sat down on a bench and looked around watching all the people that walked by. One of them could be his date. After some minuets he got bored of watching people and turned his gaze to the clear blue sky. The weather was perfect today.

Lin huffed impatiently as the clock on her wall struck 6 p.m. With a horde of girls whispering in her ears, and shoving mirrors in front of her face, she was utterly confused. Why exactly had they signed Lin up for this...."blind date"? She would slam her palm to her forehead, but one of the girls would probably complain about Lin messing up her makeup. Her pesky best friend was also in on the matter of Lin's blind date.

"Ahhh Lin-san, yellow eyeshadow looks terrible with your eyes...." That's all she would hear in her head. Lin-san this and Lin-san that. She growled slightly as the pack of girls backed away, and her best friend shut the hell up. Though, she did not expect to see what layed before her. Lin herself couldn't believe it was really, actually her in the mirror. Her pink hair was brushed to the side and tied in a low ponytail, with a grey ribbon. The area in between her eyes and her eyebrows were dusted with a smoky black eyeshadow, complimented with eyeliner.

Lin's lashes were long and feathered, making her seem even more delicate. Her lips were coated with a pale pink gloss too. On the subject of outfits, lin wore a simple yet stunning grey empire dress, which made her figure look fantastic. She didn't wear high heels, just cute black geta sandals. Lin smiled slightly at her appearence, though she wouldn't admit that she loved it. Her eyes flickered to the clock and she frowned slightly. 6:30, she was 10 minutes. The girls giggled as they shoved her out the door, leaving her with no ride. her only hint was that it was in the gardens. Despite the fact she was in a very fancy outfit, she broke into a rough sprint.

The train of her dress flaired behind her, making her look as if she was floating. Lin stopped as she arrived Lovely gardenias, roses, irises and many other flowers sat around her. A smooth limestone path lined the way. As she looked around, she noted the only one here was a man Lin took a chance and decided to ask if it was her date match. She quietly walked up to him, and tapped him on the shoulder. "Uhh, you wouldn't happen to be here because of a blind date, would you?" Lin mumbled nervously. She really hoped it was the right person, and that she hadn't embarassed herself.

Katsu blinked looking at the girl who had tapped his shoulder. Was this his date? A light tint of red appeared on his cheeks. This girl looked really cute. "Uhm... Yes I am.... I suppose you are here for the same reason then?" He said chuckling lightly. He was happy that he got this girl and did not get matched with some scary woman or a boy. He stood up from the bench as a small smile appeared of his face "I'm Katsu Toyoma. Nice to meet you." He told and just waited in silence for her to say something.

Katsu was feeling a little nervous about this whole date. And now that he got to be with a pretty girl wasn't helping. His thought drifted off a little to what they should do on this date. He hadn't really thought about that yet. "So... What would you like to do? You have something in mind you really want to do or do you want to get something to eat?" He said sounding a little nervous. He wasn't sure how to act in a situation like this.

He could feel his inner hollow protest. He was not happy with this at all. stop this right now or do I need to take over. he heard the inner hollow speak into his mind. Katsu just ignored him and continued to do what he was doing. Not caring if the hollow didn't like it. He only hoped he would not do anything stupid as his hollow was gonna break out.

He hold out an hand to her hoping she would take it. "Let's go" He lightly spoke while smiling. At least they could start to walk a little around the garden. This garden was really beautiful and there where flowers everywhere. Bird where singing their songs and talking with each other. The light from the sun made the small pond glitter. Maybe this wasn't going to be so bad after all.

Lin smiled and giggled nervously as the boy said he too was here for a blind date. She blushed slightly, watching as the other boy blushed. it looked as if they were both a bit flustered about this date. She nodded politely as the man introduced himself, deciding it was time for her to do the same. "My name is Lin Amakei. It's nice to meet you, Tomoya-san." Lin murmured softly with a charming smile. Even though she was flustered, she had no fear of getting a bad match prior to this date thing.

The only thing she was worried about was how the date would go, as Lin wasn't the most charasmatic individual. They sat in odd silence for a second before Tomoya-san spoke again. Lin smiled softly up at Tomoya-san. "Well, a walk around this garden would be lovely, don't ya think? After all, it doesn't look like the sun will set just yet. Then maybe we could get dinner." Lin suggested, still smiling. The man seemed a bit shy, but very adorable in her eyes. She drifted forward as Tomoya-san held out his hand, and despite the fact she was blushing like crazy she softly grabbed his hand.

The sun cast a very long shadow of both her and the man while the birds chirped. She loved the mix of bright red ruses and pristine white roses, not only did they give off a lovely scent but they were very easy on the eyes. Along with the patches of roses, there was a large twisted willow tree next to them. Some of the massive roots crept out onto the pathway, but the soft branches and leaves drooped perfectly over the two of them. her vibrant green eyes peered at Tomoya-san. "It's quite nice out, no?" Lin murmured with a tiny giggle. As they walked the path of the garden, she began to hear music in the distance. It sounded very upbeat and happy, kinda like pop music.

Though it still had a very sweet melody, rather then the usual erratic rythyms and beats of pop music. Once they rounded the corner, they saw what looked to be large restaraunt. The music was coming from a wide, sheltered promenade, full of dancing couples. The promenade looked very fancy, vines with fragrant flowers were curled around the fencing. she smiled and nudged Tomoya-san. "Well, we could go to dinner first, and maybe some dancing?" Lin said with a grin. The place looked fancy, but she had brought some money with her. Lin whistled in tune with the music while waiting for a response from Tomoya-san.

Katsu agreed with lin about going where they where gonna go. He smiled as the blushing girl took his hand and slowly began to walk with her trough the garden. They walked in silence before Lin said something about that it was really nice out here. He looked at her seeing her green eyes and stared for a bit as he was getting kinda lost in them. He snapped out of it an blinked. "Wow Lin-chan your eyes are really... Beautiful" he said and looked a bit confused about what he had said then blushed and looked away. They continued to walk, getting closer to a restaurant where music was coming from.

Katsu nodded lightly still wearing that smile on his face. "I'm not a very good dancer you know... But I will try" he said chuckling lightly. The sun was slowly vanishing out of side and the moon took its place up high in the sky. The clouds coloring red and orange from the last lights of the sun. He pulled Lin along with him towards the restaurant. He had also brought money with him. He was not gonna let this girl pay for whatever on this date. Katsu thoughts it was not right to let a girl pay on a date.

They entered the restaurant, it looked nice and perfect to have a date at. A waitress came up to them and showed them a table to sit at next to the window. Katsu pulled Lin closer to him for a bit and took her to the table. He made Lin sit on a chair and then sat across from her. He stared forwards for a bit into Lin her direction. He wasn't looking at her he had just drifted of in thoughts trying to behave his inner hollow who was really angry with Katsu. [I]'if you go any farther that this I'm gonna show you your place, brat. I will tear the woman apart'[I] it said into Katsu's mind. He did not look pleased for a moment but shoved it off, a smile returning on his face.

Katsu thought it had must look a little weird that he had been staring and chuckled nervously. "Uh.... So.. Where does a pretty girl like you come from. I mean. You live around here?" He asked looking curious at the pink haired girl before him. He wondered why he had not seen her around in this town yet. She isn't hard to notice.

Lin smiled as her and Tomoya-san walked up the decrepit, wooden steps of the restaurant. It seemed as if this quaint restaurant had been here for over a decade, judging by the antique architecture and the slightly decayed white banisters. It was beautiful nonetheless. Lin blushed deeply as Tomoya-san commented on her eyes. "That's very nice of you to say, Tomoya-san." Lin murmured with a flattered giggle, her emerald eyes batting at him. She continued to wakl next to him, her hand still intertwined with Tomoya-san's hand. Lin was beginning to think that this blind date wasn't such a bad idea as she thought it was.

She also had a strong feeling that it would be a good night. She chuckled as Tomoya-san mentioned he wasn't a very good dancer. "Don't worry, neither am I. But I guess that's what makes it fun." Lin added, smiling brightly. It was true after all, more often then not Lin was clumsy. but, she could find her way through a dance or two. Lin looked behind her for one last glimpse of the bright orange sun before the night arrived. Shades of pink, dark blue, and violet filled the sky. her mouth hung open slightly at the beauty of the Human World. She didn't visit here often, as she was sometimes caught up in her work as a Shinigami. For now, she was in a Gigai, her zanpaktou quiet, and was very happy.

She looked hesitanly back to Tomoya-san, wondering if he knew what she was. Lin shook the thoughts away, as not only was such a thing hihgly unlikely but it didn't matter. She was simply enjoying a date, and that's it. Lin smiled happily at Tomoya-san, not letting her pessimistic thoughts ruin her mood. The scent of grilled chicken and roast beef wafted out into the air as the door of the restaurant opened and the date couple stepped in. Indeed, it was rather gorgeous and fancy inside. The lightning was a bit dim, but you could still see what was around you. Most men were in suave suits and the women expensive dresses. Lin didn't mind though, as most seemed geared towards partying and enjoying the night life.

The waitress showed the date couple their table, and Lin smiled slightly as Tomoya-san pulled her a bit closer to him. She sat opposite Katsu at the table by the window, occasionaly peering outside of the window. The waitress set two menus on the table, along with a basket of bread and said she'd be back to take our orders soon. It was now completely dark outside, but the street lamps and restaurant lights lit up nicely. The promenade was a bit less full now, but the ones still out there were dancing jovially. She turned her face to look at katsu, but she spotted a look displeasure on his face. her expression immedietly switched to worry.

"Are you alright, Katsu-san?" She asked, the worry in her voice was clear. Her expression slowly returned to a small smile as his did, but she was still concerned. Lin blinked as he asked is she lived in Karakura. She didn't show it, but he had kinda flustered her. She couldn't say that she lived in Soul Society, she'd be punished. Lin smiled back to Tomoya-san. "Uhh....well, i'm actually not from around here. I'm just visiting in Karakura for a few weeks." Lin explained, smiling. It kinda was true, as she was just visiting. "So, do you live around here, Tomoya-san?" Lin asked nervously. Her emerald eyes spotted the waitress walking back their way, so Lin began to flip through the menu.

Katsu smiled at Lin as she asked him if he was alright. He began to wonder if this date really was an good idea. It would be really bad if this human girl would find out what he was. Also he did not want to hurt her. He began to worry because his hollow was more present than ever. His attention went back to the girl before him. She did not live around so that meant this was really the only time he was ever gonna see her. He looked at her in silence as she asked him where he lived. What should she tell him. He did live around here but the place he sleep at was not really a home. "Uhm... I do live around here" he said.

He looked at he menu deciding on what to take. While looking at the menu he sometimes glanced back at the pink haired girl. He found her really cute and good looking. His inner hollow knew that and made a dirty comment about the girl making Katsu blush really hard. Katsu was getting really iterated what made his right eye color switch to an red color instead of the normal green. He immediately put a hand over his right eye and start to laugh nervously. He hoped she did not see that. He didn't want to get a much of questions.

"Wow look over there" he said between his nervous laugh pointing outside the window towards the view outside. Well that was stupid... But he could not think of doing anything else. If there was any shinigami around they would feel a strange spiritual pressure coming from Katsu. All this time he had tried to hide it in chase someone would feel it and try to investigate from who it was coming but now he had made a slip, not hiding it anymore. Luckily this girl was just a human. At least that was what he thought.

Lin blinked and nodded as Tomoya-san said he lived in Karakura, though she wondered if the boy was discouraged by the fact she didn't live in Soul Society. She bit her lip slightly, as he didn't show any sign of it. Lin felt the odd need to clear up the matter anyways. "Well, I do visit here pretty often.....but I kinda live farther away..." Lin mumbled quietly, occasionaly glancing shyly at Tomoya-san. "Yeah.....you don't even live in this realm.....ohhh Lin, what'd ya get yourself into.....you don't even know if you'll be allowed to see him again!" Her mind cried out to her. Lin sighed quietly, a bit mad at herself for thinking such negative thoughts. She quickly shook them away, not letting it get to her.

Lin looked up from the menu just as Katsu's right eye turned a very vibrant red. Her own emerald green eyes widened, somewhat confused at what had just happened. An eyebrow raised at Katsu's actions as he pointed out the window. Was he trying to distract Lin from his lone red eye? She went ahead and nervously laughed along with him as he covered his eye. By this point, she was getting confused. Things like that didn't happen to normal people, especially not out of the blue like that. Lin's attention was stolen by the young blonde waitress in front of them with a notepad and pencil. "Would you like a refill?" She asked them. Lin glanced at her drink, the straw still sitting in it's paper wrapping.

Little precipitation drops rolled off of the clear glass and onto the table cloth, showing no signs of it ever being touched by Lin's hand. Lin quickly shook her head, signaling a no, and the lady nodded and walked away. Lin wondered if she;d return to take their order. She giggled slightly as she saw the blush on katsu's cheeks, wondering what the boy was thinking about. Lin abruptyl inhaled a sharp intake of oxygen and her nimble fingers clenched the table cloth. The hairs on her arms seemed to rise slightly. It seemed as if time had slowed down for just a second before resuming.

A very noticeable pressure was in the area, and it felt like it was coming from.......Tomoya-san? Lin blinked, her eyes wide with shock. it couldn't be radiating from him, could it? Suddenly, the Gigai she was in spasmed. Her amr violently slammed into the wall. it held soem pain, but didn't seriously injure her wrist. However, such a thing would've probably fractured the wrist of a normal human. Lin frowned slightly. "Oh no.....don't tell me i've gotten a faulty Gigai....it's gonna be difficult to run around in this....." Lin thought with a sigh. She really hoped he didn't notice her odd behavior, and her somewhat violent spasm.

Katsu stayed quiet as a waitress came to their table still covering his red eye, looking down facing the table. Scared the would freak out. When the waitress had left something seemed to be wrong with Lin her body. He arms rose and spasmed, knocking the wall. Katsu blinked dropping the hand off his eye looking a little shocked a Lin. There were not really an injury be seen on her wrist. And Katsu having been captain of the healing 4th division for years knowing everything about the human body, injuries and healing, knew such an action was not really normal. Also she needed to be injured now but she wasn't.

Now to think of it, she didn't live around here. An she expression had changed when he let his spiritual pressure go. She could not be a shinigami could she. He didn't feel spiritual presser around. "are you okay Lin-chan?" he asked worried, reaching out for her hand and gently grabbing it and looked at her wrist. Katsu looked back in the girls emerald eyes trying to search for answers. He kinda hoped she was not just a human. He pulled her closer even though there was a table between them. His face really close to hers.

He smirked as his other eye also changing red and he let slip all the spiritual pressure now that he was hiding. His inner hollow laughing inside his mind while he was taking over a little but Katsu still had him into control. He just let him take over a bit so he would not be shy or anything anymore around this girl. He had a feeling than Lin knew what was going on. If not it didn't matter, he would never see her again anyway. Everyone in the restaurant was to buzzy with other things to notice the thing that was going on between the two. "your keeping a secret from me, don't you?" he asked her, only hard enough for her to hear.

Lin blinked and nodded absentmindedly as Tomoya-san asked if she was alright. The small smile on her face seemed distant and detached from the world around her, but a smile nonetheless. Lin looked up at Katsu, her smile slowly returning to reality. She nodded. "Don't worry about me...i'm fine. But, are you ok, Tomoya-san?" Lin asked, her voice growing worried at the end of her sentance. There was an undectable hint of fear, fear of the unknown. Fear of that power she sensed. It wasn't normal power for a Human to have.

But then again, she didn't even know if he was Human. The feeling of his hand on her wrist calmed her slightly as she relaxed in her seat, trying to ignore that pressure. She was still staring at his lone red eye, wondering what was going on. Lin hoped it wasn't something serious or bad, she wasn't exactly prepared for what was occuring. "Tomoya-san....your scaring me..." Lin thought, fully aware the man couldn't hear her thoughts. She looked down at the table shortly before Katsu relinquished the burden of hiding his spiritual pressure. Lin quickly looked up in shock, the alarm clear in her eyes.

A small gasp was choked in her throat as she saw his other eye glow red, panicking. What....what was happening to Tomoya-san? She managed to hide her surprise with a small smile as katsu drew her forward across the table. Lin occasionally glanced at the drunken humans, chatting and laughing. Not even the waitresses noticed the situation. She slowly looked back to Katsu, staring straight into his eyes. The pressure around them was strong. Lin blinked when Katsu asked if she was hiding anything. And she had a very clear feeling she knew what he was speaking of.

The Gigai spasm, her reactions, they had given her away. Anyone with a basic knowledge of the Spirit World would've been tipped off, leading Lin to wonder about Tomoya-san. Lin nodded to Katsu without saying anything then leaned back in her seat, still looking at Katsu. Her hand searched her purse, looking for the one tool that could help her. A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she drew it from the purse. It was a Gikon dispenser, stocked full of Soul Candy. The dispenser just happened to be Ginnosukem, her least favorite dispenser. She preferred Yuki, or even Chappy. Regardless, Lin pressed the dispenser quickly and a small pill popped out into her hand.

With one hesitant look at Katsu, she downed the pill. Almost instantly, Lin's spirit seperated from the Gigai. Lin sat next to her Gigai, watching as it leaned on the table with it's sly eyes. Lin was in the usual black Shinigami kosode and hakama, the zanpaktou on her upper left arm. She was aware that there would be consquences to revealing herself, but it was no matter. She peered back at Katsu and sighed slightly, worried. "Is this what you were talking about?" She asked. Of course, if she was wrong about Katsu, he would simply be unaware of Lin's separation from the Gigai. But if she was right, then it looked as if the date would get much more interesting.

Katsu blinked as Lin said she was alright but asked if he was. He noticed a small sign of fear in her voice. He looked at her in slight shock and took back all his spiritual pressure, hiding it again. He muttered a small "sorry" and hoped she would know that she did not have to fear him. He sat back in his seat and watched Lin as she popped the pill in her mouth. A small smile on his face. He was hoping she would tell him soon. The red eyes of katsu moved away from the gigai, now looking at her shinigami form.

Katsu let out an relieved sigh and as he blinked his eyes turned back to the normal green then once where. His inner hollow had calmed. "I'm glad you decide to show me.. And also... Please call be Katsu if you want" He softly said looking back at the gigai for a moment. Lin should probably wonder why he could see her, but she should also have noticed he was not human. "So... How are things going in soul society? It's been really... Long... since I've last bin there..." He said as if it was a hint that he had also bin there. It really was long ago since he left and started to live here in karakura. Also he had never seen this girl around when he was still a captain. He was good at remembering faces. Probably he had left after she even became a shinigami.

A smile still on his face he stood up walking towards the other side of the table. He reached his hand out to Lin, looking at how she looked in a shinigami uniform. "Let's leave this place, I don't think we really belong here..." Katsu told her. He didn't like to be around of a lot of humans. It was not that he had anything against them... It was just that he was scared of loosing himself around them.

Katsu did not wait for Lin to respond. He just took her hand and pulled her up, leaving the place. Also leaving the gigai. "Don't worry about your gigai, we can meet up with it later." He said and stopped walking as they got out of the restaurant. Looking back at Lin
