High Risk No Return[ Shuhei]

Kira let go a small sigh as he started at the paper work staked on his desk. Lately the paper work seemed to be staking up like crazy. So , it made the blond captain if all the higher ranked officers were dealing this. So far Izu had been doing paperwork for three hours and it was beginning to take its toll. He didn’t to get out his office for a while and take a break. Making a face at the paper stacks he stood up and headed for the door. After shutting it behind him he walked down to his vice captains office to see how they were coming along.

When the blond opened the door he found his vice captain sleep on the couch. Even though there was still a large amount of paperwork on the desk. Kira made at a face at and figured the young vice captain was feeling the same way he was. Shutting the door quietly he headed outside into the cool air. After a couple moments of walking he came upon the 9th squad barracks. He had heard Hisagi san had recently became captain so, he must have the same problem as himself. After sighing gently he entered the building and made his way to the office. ' Um Hisagi san" the blond captain said opening the door a crack. He then knock on the door slightly.

It had been a long day. He was glad he had become a Captain really. It had strengthened the Division and raised morale to have a proper captain again, especially one with ideals as the old Captain, but it was a lot of work and responsibility. He leaned back in his chair and let a long sigh while rubbing the back of his neck. It had been a reeeaaally long day. He leant forward again and was about to start working again when he decided to take a quick break. He walked over to the cabinet in the corner, opened it and took a swig of some concealed sake. It seemed to help a little bit so he put it back into the cabinet. He went back to his desk but before he could sit back down he saw the door begin to open and someone saying his name. 'Kira-san? Is that you?'

He could just about make out the 3rd Captains face from behind the door in the gloom of the night. He hadnt realised how late it had gotten already. The Captain looked depressed as per usual, but he also looked quite tired. Hisagi guessed it had been a long day for everyone. 'Come on in, and have a seat. Whats the matter with you today?' He asked while getting some more sake out of the cabinet and placing it on the table and sat behind his desk again facing Kira. He may be a gloomy and depressing character, but he did sure know how to drink when it came to it, and he could do with a break.

Kira watched the brunette captain go to the cabinet and take out some concealed. Before he was noticed the man had gone back to his desk. Before sitting the brunette man asked the blond captain if that was him. Kira opened the door and little more at the sound of his name. " Hai" he replied simply to the dark eyed captain . The 9th squad captain then invited him and told him take a seat. Followed by asking him what was wrong with him today. At the sound of that he wondered he looked as if there was some thing wrong.


A short second after thinking that he stepped into the room as the sake was placed on the desk. Upon reaching a desk he grabbed a chair from the small seating area near the couch and pulled it toward the desk. When the seat was in the right spot he took a seat and placed his hands in his lap slightly. " Just tried i guess. The paper works really piling up this week. " The blond finally replied in response to the man's pervious question and what was wrong with him.

[ooc: sorry this took so long , I have alot of homework this week and ive been sick , sorry for the for the shortness I ve got two essays to write and thet really drain my muse. It will longer next time I promise]

Shuhei sighed and took a swig of the sake, then pushed it across the table towards Kira. 'Go ahead, have some if you want.' He laid back in his chair and though about the huge amounts of paperwork eveyone seemed to be getting lately. 'And i know how you feel. The past few days have been filled with paperwork. I swear i may as well just bring my bed to my office.' He looked back out the window at the evening sky and began to think that all the days lately had just merged into one continous and repetitive task.

He carried on looking out the indow, and thought that he could really with a break from this cycle. so he turned back to Kira and asked him 'You know, we've both had quite a lot of work recently, how about a night out, maybe a few drinks. We could both do with a break anyway.' He really did want to just get out of his office. He had been cooped up in there for way too long, and felt like he was almost being glued to his office's chair. 'You know what, I'm not taking no as an answer. We're going.' And with that he stood up and began to walk out the office door. 'Comin' Kira?'

When pushed to have some of the clear drink the blond reached for a cup. Before poring himself some sake and then pulling the glass close to him. After laying back in his chair the brunette captain some more about paperwork. Telling him that he knew how how the blond captain felt about today. And then he went on to say that amount of paperwork had been so great that he might as well move his bed into the office. Keeping silent the blond brought the glass to his mouth and took a large sip before coughing slightly. He then nodded slightly to the tattooed man's bed comment. After a couple short seconds of staring at his glass white the other captain looked at the sky he looked up once more when spoken to again. This the captain talked about the both of them needing a great break because of the mountain of paper. He then suggested that they go out and get a few drinks because of the fact that they could desperately use a break on a day like this.

Kira opened his mouth to say something , but shut it again when the brunette spoke again. This time he announced that he wasn't taking no for an answer from the blond. As he did so he got and headed for the door of the office. Sighing slightly the blond captain put his cup down and the table stood up. Seconds after he had stood he heard the scared captain call out to him asking him if he was coming. Kira ignored him for a moment and put the chair back were it was suppose to be and then headed for the door. Once outside the office he shut and door behind him before looking to the captain. Not knowing what to say he waited for the captain to make his next mouth. " Hai" he finally said responding to the Hisagi San's comment that asked if he was coming or not.

It took a little while but eventually Kira came out of the office. 'Good, right then lets get going. Anywhere you want to go in particular?'. The night was beginning to get late but it wasnt that cold outside but there was a nice breeze that ruffled his hair slightly. It was quite a nice night out, and a few drinks would be good. He had been cooped up in his office for too long and needed to stretch his legs a bit. He looked over in Kira's direction and waited for his answer. In truth he didnt care himself where they went, most the places in the Seireitei were all the same, so he leaned against his office's wall and waited to see if Kira had any place in mind.

Closing the door behind him the blond captain finally arrived in the hallway. He looked to the door briefly and wondered if he should lock. Deciding against it he looked at the brunette squad captain. As his eyes were looking at the other captain he was spoken too. His friend had asked him if he wanted to go to any place in particular. Kira thought about it for a moment wondering if it really matter. There was a particular place they usually went. So, the blond third squad captain figured they might as well go there. The prices weren’t bad there either so, they wouldn’t have to burn holes in their pockets just to relax a bit.

Kira looked down for a moment and looked up to see Shuhei leaning up against a near by wall. This made the blue eyed wonder if he was really taking that long to think. " We could go to the place Renji and I usually go." Izu finally suggested in a calm tone as a couple lower ranked members ran by the two of them. Kira's eyes wondered to them briefly as they turned the corner. And he wondered if their was trouble some where near the 9th squad barracks. He certainly hoped not , because they would have to go fix it instead of relaxing. When laughter from the two lower ranked officer came from the corner Kira looked back to Hisagi son.

Shuhei had begun daydreaming slightly and snapped back to attention when he heard Kira begin talking. He mentioned something about the place he and Renji generally go. Shuhei nodded slightly, he had been there alot too and it was generally the place most of the lieutenants went to relax and have a bit of time to themselves or their comrades. It may not be the best place for two captains to go, but it didn't matter, only a few officers would be around to see them and he doubted anyone would mind if a captain got a bit drunk after everything thats happened. Old habbits die hard as they say.

He was just about to answer Kira when a couple of officers ran past. It was unlikely anything was happenning as they were both low ranking officers and when there was some laughter it was quite obvious there wasn't any danger or problem to be dealt with, although they would have to be disciplined in the morning when Shuhei could be bothered to do anything about it. He looked over to Kira and answered him 'Yea sure, it's a nice place i guess. But i dont know about you but i would rather use a quick shunpo to get over there quickly rather than having to walk all the way over there.' It was quite a walk after all, and they had both been pretty busy that day, and a shunpo would get them there a lot quicker than if they had to walk it. Some more laughter drifted over to them from the officers who had gone past earlier. 'And dont worry about them, they're always like that, recently promoted.' He explained, trying to see where they had gone to.

Kira looked back to lower officers old positions again for a couples seconds. When he saw the other captain suddenly pay attention to them. After a couples seconds Kira looked back to the brunette captain as he looked back at him. Kira remained straight faced as the captain spoke to him about the place they were planning on going to. The told that they place alright , but he also complained about the walk. And told the blond they should probably shunpo over there. It seemed like a good idea , but Kira wouldn’t really choice it if he was going there on his own. He never really used his shunpo for normal everyday things, But he didn’t want to starting trouble , especially with a friend.

Kira nodded in response to the suggestion before the brunette began speaking this time. The captain then explained to him why the two lower seated officer behavior. Izuru knew it was exciting to be promoted , but the members of his squad never got that gitty about. They were more into gossip and talking about people behind their back. Kira was never to fond of that trait of the lower squad members in his group. Because they had done to him a couple times in the past. Kira made a nose in response as he heard a door slam at the end of the hallway. " We should get going its busy at this time if I remember correctly.' the blond finally said in a calm and collected tone.
